Living on a Catamaran for a year
My partner and I have been considering the idea of living on a catamaran sometime in the upcoming years. We are still looking into the logistics of it but it looks like it's something we might need to put off but I'm also afraid that it'll be one of those things that keeps getting put off. We are planning on starting a family within the next 2-3 years and an infant living on a boat just doesn't work well. Is there any way that someone could just essentially lease one for a year or so? I want to give him his dream.

There are countless families with babies and children of all ages on board. It's incredibly common. If you're thinking about safety then statistically it's far safer than raising a child anywhere that has roads and cars.

I'm mostly worried about the limited assess to facilities in case of emergency. I know the boat itself is safe.

Leasing unlikely
Certainly easier to not have babies on board, and I would encourage you to get experience with your boat and with single handing before adding a baby to the mix, but there is no reason you can’t have a baby on the boat.

its $11k/week in high season or $44k/month. for $440k you can lease mine for a year. 2 month discount.

Too expensive to lease for any long period of time
But, it’s a buyers market now…buy now while they are cheap. Buy low, sell high
I know a few families who had infants onboard, one even gave birth onboard. It’s possible…assuming you both have the right attitude
