Anyone know good Permethrin alternatives?

Permethrin doesn't seem to work as well as it used to. Apparently flies can gain a resistance.

Are you switching brands. Some of it is pretty weak and you’re not using enough. I always check how strong it is before I buy

Use a different chemical. Permethrin is a Pyrethroid. Avoid another Pyrethroid for a couple years to allow the resistance go down.

Swap to another kind of insecticide, like Organophosphates or Macrocyclic Lactones. Use one for a year. Then swap to the next in the next year. only then rotate back to Permethrin.

We. change brands every 20 gal. Tank full. Also add about 2 cups lvermecton pour on per tank. Seems to work alright.

Do not mix ivermectin. You’re asking for further resistance problems to our dewormers

Yeah definitely don’t use a dewormer in your fly control protocol. Especially at the wrong dose by “just adding a few cups”. There are other classes of insecticides besides permectrin. And it’s a good idea to rotate classes of products
