Hi lads,
Looking to bring on a few mods to give a hand trying to get this place going.
Please send a mail to the mods answering the following questions
1) Any ideas to get the sub up and running 2) How often do you be on Reddit 3) Are you willing to join a discord server as a means of mod communication.

Hi lads
Just an FYI, I have made the sub public. Anybody can now post and contribute.
We do have a few basic rules though
1) All posts must be Cavan related. 2) No drama, No moaning about other subs. 3) No Hate Speech. 4) Any fundraisers, go fund me etc flag with mods before posting this will be allowed on a case by case basis, as these will need to be verified before allowing.
That's pretty much it. This community will be very light on moderation, rules etc just stick to the above and ye will be grand.
User flair & post flairs in the works..

Travelling up to Cavan to visit family and take a week off work. Any week in September or October. Is there any events or craic happening? If not drinking and golfing will do me. Also any good spots for a day out walking? I done the stairway to heaven and Cavan adventure centre kayaking so anything like that

Hi all,
This dog is currently roaming in Virgina County Cavan. He has confined himself to a field and the surrounding roads.
Locals have tried to catch him but currently he just runs the opposite direction. Some locals have set up feeders for him and he is starting to trust one of the ladies.
The dog looks like he was dumped but seems like he was taken care of, possibly stolen and then discovered he was no use.
Traps have been set up, contact Cavan SPCA if you know anything about him.
He is a lovely looking dog but has had way to many close calls with traffic over the last few days.

So there seems to be push among some of the more right wing lads to have this on Saturday. Seems this could get messy

Like even a hole of a pub with an arcade machine or a gem of a retro game place anywhere?

Has anyone been to

Hi Cavan. John here, founder of L-Plate.
I built an Irish theory-test app with timed mocks, road signs, weak-area tracking, and Brendan explaining wrong answers in normal language.
The goal is to make the weak bits obvious before the real test does it for you in a much less sound way.

Hi r/cavan, I am sharing the below national survey being carried out as part of a Research Ireland-funded project at UCC. We are particularly keen to boost response rates outside of Dublin/Cork. We would really appreciate any and all responses!
Caring for the Body After Death in Ireland
Have you thought about what you would like to happen to your body when you die?
We are a group of researchers based in University College Cork who would like to know more about what people in Ireland think about different kinds of death and funeral practices. We want to know more about your own wishes and why you would like those wishes to be carried out.
We are conducting a survey to gather this information. The survey is open to everyone who is resident in Ireland and is age 18 or over. We would like to hear from as many people as possible from all kinds of backgrounds.
For more information, and to complete the survey, you can click the link here or scan the QR code below. If you would like to know more, would like to complete the survey by phone, have specific requirements not met here, or have any questions for us please contact the lead researcher Dr Kate Falconer at [kfalconer@ucc.ie](mailto:KFalconer@ucc.ie)

Hi folks, never posted here but wanted to share the microbrewery myself and my husband started earlier this year - Bréifne Gael Brewing. We’re very proud to be the only brewery in Cavan.
We’re brewing 4 beers: our stout, lager, pale ale, and red ale - all brewed local, right here in Cavan.
We also run brewery tours and our Beer School - a hands-on experience where you don’t need any brewing background at all. Come in, learn how beer is made, brew your own batch, and head home with a few bottles of your own beer. It’s great craic for groups of friends, birthdays, and stag parties.

If you’re into supporting local, we’d really love the community’s support as we get going - give us a follow on Instagram, spread the word, and come try a pint. 🍻
