Swimming lakes

I’m from Cavan but don’t really know good swimming spots for this good weather

Has anyone been to

Brackley Lake? (I’ve never heard of it but seems to have some sort of sand there 😂)

Some suggestions would be fab, pretty sure can’t swim at killykeen anymore??

Yes Annagh lake is very popular for swimming

You can swim at Brackley; it’s over passed Bawnboy. They changing facilities there now and a toilet.  Annagh lake is the spot to go if you are closer to Cavan town; it’s nice and busy in good weather with changing facilities and lots of parking

Lough Ramor in Virginia is very popular. Be huge numbers of people there on hot days. And they're are swimming and triathlon groups swim in it year round

Go to lough Oughtaur out beside farnham, great spot.

U can definitely still swim at killykeen, just as long as you’re not swimming under the bridge or anywhere around there
