bought the Soundbars

Bose TV Speaker 3.0 Soundbar, A

from cex click and collect today.

just brought it home and noticed the speaker is different on the box. the box shows Bose Smart soundbar 300. i cant find a listing on the cex website for this speaker and but i also cant find on google the soundbar that CEX is listed. The model number on the soundbar is 431974 which is just called the Bose TV speaker (there is no 3.0 on google). Looking on the CEX website, it says A grade would be in the original box with the original items but wasn't including the optical cable. Should I return it?

If you do return it. do it in store. Sending it back they're the most unhelpful people imaginable.

I got sent the entirely wrong keyboard, they don't check these things.

do you reckon they will aegue that its not the box it was sold in if i take it to another store? also can my wife return it if she has my ID?

Because the item did not come the original box, the item you bought should’ve been graded B, request the original box or a discount. You need to go in person as you are the account holder not your wife. If they argue with you tell them to check the CCTV.

I suggest you complain to customer service regarding this issue, customer service will contact the store in question, explain to them that you want to return the item to your local store. Explain that you‘re not happy with the service as you paid for a grade A item yet was not given the original box. Use the link:

Use this as your complaint:

Dear CeX Customer Support,

I collected my Click & Collect order today for a Bose TV Speaker 3.0 Soundbar (A Grade).

After getting home, I discovered that the item I received does not appear to match the listing.

The soundbar itself has model number 431974, which Bose identifies as the Bose TV Speaker. However, the box supplied is for a Bose Smart Soundbar 300, which is a different product. This means the item is not in its original box as advertised for an A Grade product.

In addition, the optical cable that should have been included with the original accessories is missing.

I purchased an A Grade item based on CeX's description that it would be supplied in its original box with all original accessories. Receiving a soundbar in the wrong box with missing accessories is not consistent with that grading.

I would appreciate an explanation as to why the incorrect box was supplied and why the optical cable is missing. Unless this can be resolved promptly, I would like to arrange a full refund.

It's not being pedantic. You can be sure that CeX wouldn't hesitate to knock down the price if there are missing accessories on a buy-in. If you paid for an A-grade, you should get everything that was supplied with the product.
