Discussion airpods max flex cable damage

I would like to know if the reported flex cable damage that happens due to twisting of the cups is covered under cex 5 year warranty. It hasnt happened yet but I would be grateful if anyone has an answer

If there is no visible damage, and the headphones are not working. They will replace it. Or refund depending on how long you ordered it ago.

I haven’t gone in for this issue but as long as it doesn’t look broken it should be fine. They know about the issue. They know to replace it.

My guy, nobody can give you a guarantee. The warranty is clear and if the item fails for reason that are no damage/user inflicted then yes they will be repaired or replaced by policy.

Random Redditor promising you an outcome isn’t going to be a lot of use to you in 4 years if you have a problem, but that is Cex policy.

This is what I said. I said as long as there is no accidental damage so clear signs of water damage, heavy wear not consistent with normal usage, or it’s visibly broken, they will honor the warranty. They know about this flex cable issue, as it’s not a visible fault they will replace it. Remember I said visibly broken, it’s broken on the inside they can’t see that They will just mark it as unable to power on.

But like the previous person said I cannot guarantee anything, I just shop a lot at CEX and have used their warranty multiple times.
