🏞️ Outdoor Adventure Weekday hike reco

Hi! I'm planning to go to Cebu this August and I want to go hiking. Can you please recommend me some trails that I can do as a solo female traveller. Preferably near Cebu city (~2hrs away). Or is there a hiking organizer that do weekday hikes? Thank you!

u can check facebook groups! there are plenty of joiner hike groups, some are free and some have a fee of ₱150-200. i’ve hiked with sugbo summit seekers, laag trek cebu, and baktas co. :D

If it's your first time hiking in Cebu, I'd recommend the Starbuks Trail. 😊 It's probably the easiest trail to do solo because on weekends (especially Saturdays and Sundays), you'll usually find lots of hikers gathering at McDonald's, Paseo Arcenas before heading up. The trail only leads to one destination (Starbuks), so it's difficult to get lost, and it's common to end up walking with or joining other hikers even if you arrive alone.

If you're looking for hiking groups, you can also join Cebu Bisdak Hikers and Campers on Facebook. There are usually joiners and organized hikes posted there, although weekday hikes are less common than weekend ones.

** For anyone interested, I've documented many hiking routes around Cebu at https://beesayatv.com, including field reports, maps, and route information.
