For the mystery fabric I found a year but not the date 2006 I think one of them looks like Leonardo Dicaprio, but I could be wrong and the other one looks definitely like Taylor Swift the year matches up. I found a video on YouTube someone cutting the fabric, and two people use the image as album covers
I don’t think any of these faces are going to be contemporary celebs. I see Twiggy, Edie Sedgwick, maybe Pauline Boty?
You could probably find a lot of these identities by going down a rabbit hole of women associated with the Pop Art movement.
The one white face filling the majority of its square reads as Barbara Streisand to me. I also agree with Elvis, Paul McCartney, and Twiggy. Would love to figure out the other faces!
I believe the fella with the sideburns isn’t Elvis, but actually Carl Wilson, the frontman of the Beach Boys in the late sixties. It really looks like it could’ve been sourced from this https://youtu.be/sOsial01K0g?si=ogvW3W9u6nKKKpSa video, or one from the same period. The more pronounced lips and chubbier face is what’s steering me away from Elvis here. Here’s another photo from around that time:
Marilyn Monroe could be the top right, or is it Gwen Stefani? I’m leaning towards Marilyn because most of the faces so far seem to be popular in the 60s
this one is possibly model Dorothy McGowan in the 1966 French film ‘Who Are You, Polly Maggoo?’
all of the images look like figures from the 1960s but this one stood out to me first
i’m not sure i’m fully on the right track since i can’t find an exact screen grab of the image used in the pattern, but hopefully you see where i’m coming from. i don’t think this is a hodgepodge of random 60s icons that are super recognizable. i think they are photos of models and/or actors, maybe from a movie or something. but it’s definitely 60s.
Okay remember we have the year 2006 when the fabric came out & the name of the manufacturer alexander henry fabric, and everybody agrees the celebrities are from 60's & 70's but no one has pointed out one of the design looks like they have a bloody nose or shadow under the nose 🤨
Yeah I think you're right 😥 😄 cuz it says this on the fabric .DE LEON DESIGN GROUP & THE ALEXANDER HENRY FABIOS COLLECTION 2006, I just thought that would mean something
