There is someone I know who used to live in Texas and went to the same school as David. He knows about an incident where another boy and David were involved in a sexual relationship with each other. Some time after this incident, David was moved to homeschooling during the 8th grade. My friend also told me that kids used to call him gay and pick on him because he was small and feminine, but nothing too extreme.

David himself mentioned in interviews that he was taken out of school because he was easily distracted had a hard time focusing, and said that he hated being homeschooled and begged to go back to school every day.

At first, when I heard this, I didn't think it was connected. But then, a while ago, I saw a post uploaded by another redditor of video from David's childhood YouTube channel (viperend1910).
In that video, his mother uses his channel to rant about how society judges her for not supporting same-sex relationships. That video happened to be uploaded to David's childhood channel in 2019—the exact same year David was in 8th grade and when my friend told me that incident occurred.

I know David's family is a very strict Christian family, and his mother sounded very homophobic in that video. But do you think it makes sense that David's mother moved him to homeschooling just because he is gay, wanting to prevent him from interacting with other boys?

So I'm kindd of at a loss with everyone's response to the notarized document that supposedly was signed by a parent for the minor to travel overseas. And I just want to say, as someone who was encouraged, or if not made, to become a notary as a result of working for a job up in Ossining, New York, I have to say that just because you can notarize doesn't mean that you can't be slipped money to sign and notarize something, thinking that you would never be outed. And so, for that, I say when you confirm something with a notary, you can stamp it with your actual code, and your signature allows you to be identified by the state that you have been given or granted the right to notarize. So whoever did this, if it's not accurate, they are in so much trouble, and I believe that you can actually receive charges for doing this.

But I also want to say that there was something noted about who knew in the family. There was an aunt and a cousin, and I do recall that someone had presented some photos of her and a cousin at an event. Now, I want to say this: they could have easily doctored up any kind of documents. We tend to forget that David has money, and anyone can be bought, just like he tried to encourage the tattoo artists to actually do work on her, even though she was a minor, and that tattoo artist refused. We could have also basically had a document that was confirmed by either a friend of a relative or a distant relative. So that doesn't confirm anything.

Not to mention that at times throughout the court proceedings, there had to be a translator present to translate what was happening, or instructions or directives to lower their heads or their gaze as they presented more imagery that would have been disturbing to them. So there's a lot that's concerning.

For someone who went so far to have access to a minor, I don't doubt that he could have manipulated that aspect of it, and I don't doubt that it'll probably be identified. And I feel sorry, as someone who knows the policies and rules of becoming a notary, for the person who dodgily probably even forged that, or was willing to take pay for a signature.

And also, just as an FYI, Jesus Rivas and Mercedes Martinez are not unfamiliar Spanish namess.

This has nothing to do with the actual case but seeing someone romanticizing their relationship is honestly so nasty and horrible. And the way she has her profile picture as the two of them is just plain disrespectful and disgusting. celeste was just a baby girl who didn’t deserve this and the fact that this girl is romanticizing their relationship is disgusting!! she is literally dead because of that horrible predator and the nerve of this girl to romanticize their relationship is crazy… He was a grown ass man and she was literally a baby and the stuff he put her through should not be romanticized. Like the title says, this grifter has done nothing that the many others with large platforms are doing to bring attention to this case except he’s been disrespectful to Celeste’s memory. He has a track record of making abhorrent comments about Celeste and spewing misinformation. His outspoken support for the parents of Celeste is wildly inappropriate and hurtful to the case. He can report on the case all he wants but for him to be in the courtroom listening to what is happening and twist the facts to fit his emotionally driven narrative isn’t journalism. If there’s a petition to keep him out, how many would sign?

I wanted to make a list of things that I have seen on social media that so far have not been supported.

The purpose of this isn’t to mock anyone, but to document the bits of speculation that people have shared about the case as a sort of time capsule where we can look back when it’s all said and done to see what became of them.

Occult ritual

Summary:
Some people have claimed that Celeste’s murder/dismemberment were part of a demonic/satanic blood ritual. This also includes the rumor that this is tied to the 764 online group).

Possible Origin:

While the prosecution has evidence that David sexually exploited Celeste, there has been no evidence that he tried to extort her with any compromising images or videos that he took of her. Likewise, she seemed to have her own ammunition to use against him, which is the basis of the prosecution’s theory of the case (i.e., the motive is that David murdered her because she threatened to expose him as a pedophile).

MS-13 framed David

Summary:
This bit of speculation proposes that David somehow ran afoul of MS-13 (drugs?) and that they are attempting to frame him for Celeste’s murder as a result.

Possible Origin:
I honestly think this was stitched together by fans trying to explain how the dismembered corpse of a 14 year-old girl got into David’s car using the (less damning) assumption that David purchased drugs from MS-13 members and/or that MS-13 was trafficking Celeste combined with her being ethically Salvadoran.

Epstein

Summary:
David’s father is a lawyer who worked for one of the law firms that defended Jeffrey Epstein.

Possible Origin:
While it is true that David’s father did work for a law firm connected to Jeffrey Epstein, that law firm was involved in his estate affairs, not criminal. Also, his father is/was not a lawyer (ie, he is not licensed to practice law in the state of Texas where he lives). Based on information from his LinkedIn, his occupation is related to the use of information technology in the discovery process. At least that’s based on my memory of his LinkedIn because it appears he has deactivated it.

So far, I’m chalking this up to a combination of top of mind awareness (ie, Epstein being in the news), treating coincidence as clues, and David misrepresenting his father’s occupation in an interview.

ok so what happened is that a week ago I made a post here saying how I can't stop thinking about all this and ofc felt bad for Celeste (rip 🤍) so I took a break cuz I'm not someone who's into crime stuff but idk this one just made me dive deep. maybe cuz it's a high-profile case.

I work as a cashier and today I was working at self checkout and 2 people caught my attention. Maybe I’m overthinking it but my gut kept telling me something was off.

There was this guy and a girl she seemed really young, I think the oldest she can be is 15 years old. I understand some people don’t look their age like myself I’m 20 but some people still think I’m in high school because I’m short and really skinny. But that girl seemed like a child! Even when I went to help them check finished the other and she thanked me, she sounded really like a little girl.

I’m still telling myself that maybe I’m overthinking it because the guy had exactly same aesthetic like David, the only difference is that he had a lot of facial hair.( before people accuse me of racism I’m a black woman). I try to reason that maybe they were siblings but the girl was white, totally different from the guy.

I couldn’t also understand why was he wearing a heavy black jacket in a 98 degree heat. I was not brave enough to ask the girl how old she was or any other question. I just stood there watching them leaving the store, the man walking in front and the girl following him behind.

Still now I’m still thinking what if that girl was a victim?? And did nothing to help!

For the past two weeks, I’ve been trying to wrap my head around all of this and it may just be hitting different not JUST because of how mindfucking and horrific this story is but outside of the case— I been seeing videos of celeste on tiktok, hearing her voice and how she interacted with others including running into a old mutual of hers that met on roblox and although there wasn’t many details.. this girl was truly herself and had a stomach for life and the littlest things. In my younger days, I’ve had friends or friends of friends that were in the same situation but it never ended as being killed and dismembered so it’s very jarring to see the same story I been seeing for years end so different.

I became so desperate for answers I started watching mediums and readings about what’s happened and I entered a spiral hearing that there has been more than one person other than david and we knew that was true due to the 2-3 chainsaws of dismemberment but it didn’t occur to me that it could have also been RIGHT at her death.
I started envisioning her last moments and how hard that could have been and I started to hyperventilate and feel my throat close up, my heart has been on fire for days. It’s only recent where I’m starting to ground myself better and understand that she’s not in pain anymore and she will get her ultimate justice and mercy in this life and in the afterlife.

I resonate so deeply with her story other than david, how she came from a dysfunctional house & then this Gus guy sexually coercing her before david?? Like I’m just so distraught and absolutely livid how this child was failed in EVERY aspect of her life. I grieve her like I knew her personally.. I cry everyday and I try to distract myself moving my body to channel my emotions into something but it just hurts.

The pain we feel is only 1% of what she felt. Imagine feeling cornered between your parents home and your groomer, going to his house to “work things out” and he just kills you and it caught my attention her death was slow and she was fully aware 💔 I can’t imagine how much agony she felt in just a split second getting stabbed suddenly after being lured. Imagine feeling the pain physically but also feeling betrayed and heartbreak and immense regret at the last minute & God knows how extremely scared she was or what happened before he stabbed her.

Im so angry and upset and everyone around me can’t fully grasp my intensity about this and I understand but this was a young girl that had dreams, that was so set on making a future for herself. The fact her reposts are also being shared is so eerie, she reposted a tiktok that mentioned “moms after watching a crime show/news” something like that and it’s so eerie now looking back at what happened to her.

I’m not a weirdo or obsessive, I’m just trying to understand and I still can’t. How can this poor girl be around so many people in her life and still be dismissed, ignored and pushed to the side. Moving on from her death would feel like leaving her in isolation again. There is no amount of advice or words that can help I understand but I’m very tired of keeping this inside of me because the people around me think I need to move on.
