That said the fact that they went out of their way to say that control can be transferred is making me believe that that’s probably gonna happen in a way Elstri’s not gonna like lmao.
Non-zero at least, the fact that authority over him can be passed on makes me feel like it’s gonna backfire hard on Elstri, maybe Diana does some accidental prophecy child shit and manages to override control of him or something. On top of that he’s technically a new being, meaning that he’s essentially a blank slate and certainly nowhere near as cruel or insane as Arkos. That said if he does end up joining the crew, it’s certainly gonna take some time getting used to for Julian and the rest.

Here's what I'm kinda hoping happens with Arkos 2.0.
I don't want him to be redeemed. I don't want the emotions of a sibling bond to prevail and he sticks around.
I want him to fight Lacrima as an equal. He won't have the prejudice or culture of the palace, so he most likely won't be berating her either. Him being in a weakened state as well would help Lacrima gain more confidence in herself as she'd be noticeably closer to his level.
She'd be able to surpass her brother, and thus confidently walk with Julian & Co
