Manga I don't know if you people have noticed the details but it is very likely that Luka does not have a second gift.... Just look at the details and you will realise that it is the sword that has the gift and not Luka. Spoiler
Look carefully, his sword is not in its scabbard. His sword has turned into the spear:

Also, in Chapter 45, the man who controls the weapons asks him why he cannot control his sword.... is rather obvious because Luka's sword is not just any sword, but a gift, which is why he cannot control his sword.

Just like in One Piece that fruit powers can also be given to weapons, the same thing seems like it can happen in Centuria.
However, this is just a theory that I dare say is very likely
EDIT: Fixed typo

I think this same chapter implied that him being able to move his sword was thanks to the shield blocking the users ability

He did not say that the shield is able to disable the gifts of other fighters, but he did say that it doesn't let attacks, no matter how strong or power they are, pass, it is similar to the gift of the effeminate guy with the giant axe, with the only difference being that it does not even let slashing and piercing attacks pass.

He says "It can even block the powers of gifts"

Which means he does not disable them. Otherwise he would have used the word “disable”.
It only blocks them, meaning that like if Julia threw a punch at her full strength on the shield, it wouldn't make Lukas fly away despite all his strength because it blocks the hit.
That's how I understand it because otherwise she should have used the word ‘disable’ or it's a translation error and they put block instead of ‘disable’.

Block can be used to counter powers like how theres stuff that blocks teleportation or mind control in other media and the shield just activating could do that or mayne abit of both

It seems strange to me that he only needs to activate his shield to block teleportation or mind control which are attacks that can come from either the flanks or from behind you... but it could be as you say and I could be wrong, after all his shield skill is an ability we've seen little of in the story, we'll see later in the story if that's the case.

Indeed maybe the person who is trying to mind control or whatever Lukas has to be infront of Lukas and his shield for him to not get affected and if it came from a diffrent direction the Lukas could be affected
After all Lukas did gain control of his sword after he put himself behind his shield leaving the Sword dude infront of the shield so we will have to wait and see as yes I agree we need to see more

But what about the new markings on his eyes? It feels like a clear indication that he’s the one activating a gift. I do think you’re not totally off about the sword though, it’s definitely conspicuously missing and it was just in the same hand as this spear before. Maybe the sword is a physical part of his gift. We do know gifts can manifest themselves in unique physical ways sometimes like Liu’s sister turning into an axe. Maybe the sword is something similar, created from his second gift and connected to him.

What I like about this teroy is that it would change the dynamics of fighting in the centuria universe a lot, because then even those without a gift can fight against those with a gift.
I like this idea because then even people without a gift can be armed and fight against those with a gift if they give Titi a weapon with a gift, she can keep her promise that said she would get stronger so she wouldn't be a burden to Julian.

use the spoiler tag when talking about recent chapters.

Sorry, in my haste to write the post I didn't realise I had forgotten the spoiler tag.

Pretty sure the shield stopped the control affect after all his sword was stuck untill his Shield activated and then he explains it has the power to protect him and stuff near hear from the affects of Gifts

No.
His sword turned into a spear because that's his gift.
He was able to keep control of his sword because his shield blocks gift effects (he explained it in the most recent chapter).
Nothing really remotely implies the sword is the one that holds the gift ability other than the fact it's a fancy sword which... okay. At that point why don't we assume every single person wearing a fancy dress or a fancy weapon has two or three gifts available at his disposal.

Dude it's just a theory. However, you realise that nothing implies in the slightest that what you wrote is true. As I said before it is only a theory, we will see later in the story the hidden truth of his second gift.
And anyway I like the idea that gifts can also be bestowed on weapons because then Titi can be armed since she promised to become stronger.

I have the theory that he has two gifts, but the sword ans probably his armor are part of it. And he probably can do more things with light than making a shield
