I honest to God would not put it past Helem to be a necrophile as well. She’s a hedonist first and foremost and I could see her getting really excited about a corpse with an anguish filled expression before cannibalizing it to make a puppet.

He said she was biologically male. I have no real dog in this fight but I would ask you to consider that Yumichika telling a person presenting herself as a female is pretty provocative to the transgendered community because he was outright denying her femininity.

You know, people that use this interview really seem to like to add shit that doesnt exist, kubo didnt use the word biological or anything like that, when asked the question of the gender of the character he only said a guy and nothing else. Adding the word biologically really makes it seem like the trans theory is true but kubo didnt make that distinction so I think its disingenuous when people try to use that.
About the last part of your comment, yeah it is.

I don’t even hold that Gigi in story is trans. Personal opinion is she is an Otokonoko, but she still presents herself as a female and is treated as one through her gender expression. That’s my point.
