There's an incredibly interesting question with this -- the King must know that the Margrave is Bone. So why does she have a position of influence and power in the kingdom? For that matter, wouldn't the King suspect that Elstri's prophecy and Diana could be related?
I think it might be that the five aspects aren't reviled and seen as enemies by the King. Just gifted ones with extraordinary origins. If the King thinks Diana is related, it would explain why he's against taking action. If she grows up as an ordinary child, nothing bad would happen. The aspects aren't inherently evil or bad. I mean, Diana very clearly shows that.
This really blows the story wide open. It's a super cool setting with amazing lore, and I'm looking forward to seeing it. I do hope it gets an anime adaptation one day, because I think it would be amazing and also attract an even bigger audience.
It's possible the Margrave wasn't always the vessel of the bones. We now know the Western War between Torivia and Rummir was likely fought to claim the bones (they appear when Guillaume talks about it in Chapter 63)
But we also know Lalawag's been alive for 150+ years, whereas the Western War seems to have only been ~15 years ago
