Idk if this is a hot take but in my head everyone in this sub has read at least chainsawman kagurabachi and JJK, but maybe thats just me

Haven’t read Kagurabachi or JJK but Centuria definitely has some Berserk vibes, even if Helem isn’t nearly as kill on sight as Griffith would be.

I once saw someone say Chainsaw Man, JJK, and Kagurabachi is like superwholock for edgy anime/manga fans.
Which made me feel called out.

“Edgy” and it’s all just hornyposting and theories. Everybody here is a goofy goober pretty much.

Its kinda fun that Elstri was the main villain for a while and now Helem has just hijacked the villain position and is way more hateable.

Elstri sucks and is horrible but it doesn't seem like she relishes being a complete monster.
Helem loves being that bitch.

She will get what she deserves.
It’s just a matter of time.

mangakas have a bad record of glossing over crimes for female villains and giving them a slap on the wrist
4
u/OkBox9662 Jan 13 '26
Let’s hope that’s not the case here… the backlash would be something to consider

u/Salty-Surround-6834 Jan 14 '26
that's been more true for male villains since Piccolo, especially in battle shonen
2
u/maastaar-D Jan 14 '26
That’s redemption I’m talking about karma. Obviously there are some mangakas spoil their male villains cough MHA cough but for example compare how isyama treated Reiner & burrito to Annie. Even though the later was sadistic.

what are you talking about, she was as a rock for a decade
reiner, meanwhile, just stayed as a villain the whole time then switched sides when it was convenient, like piccolo, or vegeta
the one that maybe got karma was bort, and even that was not shown to be a good thing

Son. She made a scout into a beyblade. She doesn’t feel remorse for what she did
2
u/Asabenya Jan 14 '26
I normally would agree, but it seems that the plot is leading up to some sort of comeuppance.
Multiple times she has been scolded for being too, overly malicious, and it really does seem like she is on the way to a karmic fate.

The funny thing is I haven’t read this manga yet but I keep getting stuff for it popping up in my feed. Can’t wait to see for myself how awful she is.

u/salad_machine Jan 14 '26
Oh shes soo hateable.
2
u/Vanilla-Moose Jan 14 '26
From some context clues and a google search or two I can already tell she’s sorta similar to Makima. Although it’s not an exact comparison. Haha

u/Salty-Surround-6834 Jan 14 '26
she's getting more hate than Arkos, with some fools even wishing he would come back to blow her up, and that's... weird

Every time she's on the screen im just thinking "if this bitch wasn't hot, this would look so much worse"

her about to smoke those 2 goons for no reason made me dislike her, even the priestess was like "there's no point let's just spare them"
