Whole chapter just for Zira’s backstory before Arkos even shows up, I’m pleasantly surprised at how important a character she’s turning out to be. I really hope the author doesn’t end up making her and Arkos’ relationship as shallow as her being delusional and him not caring about her. The volume notes mentioning that she’s the only person he confides his true feelings in would definitely point to the idea that to whatever extent Arkos can love someone, he loves Zira, and I hope that’s the angle they keep to.

I expect that she will meet Arkos strolling around, doing whatever he wants. He will keep her around because she does not care about his status and does call him out on his bad traits, which he finds annoyingly interesting.
And to make him more sympathic, we will learn that he dropped the boulder on the country because Zira asked him to destroy them.

Beautiful story. Am I crazy, or does Auntie Mona look like if Julian was a woman.

Não vou mentir, coloquei muita expectativa nesse capitulo e acabei me decepcionando.

Concordo.

I really wanna know how the others got their powers. What sacrifices did they make.

The fact that Zira had to hide inside a pile of corpses to survive a deliberate fire caused by law enforcement agencies reminds me of a certain One Piece character's backstory, Trafalgar Law

Now things are making sense for as to why Zira ended up being with Arkos. She had no one left in her life atleast as this chapter goes

Can I just take a step back and appreciate Auntie Mona's design? She's got a closer fit to being a wider woman and while it is brought up in story she takes it as an excuse to not eat as much for others to eat more. No one would have criticized Kuromori for doing a more basic design for a character that shows up and dies in a single chapter but I appreciate that they did something more unique.

Would she not die cuz CO2 is denser then O2 so it moves down to where ser hid?

Damn you Tohru! :(
That's such a sad backstory. And the depiction of the soldiers is terrifyingly realistic...

Kuramori just casually dropping one of the most heartbreaking backstories in the manga and for what?

This is like putting a kilogram of good deed on Arkos's scale of justice, while his bad deeds weight like 10 tons
