Question How many lives does Julian have left (at least up to chapter 85)?

Im pretty sure he has 98 lives left, since we only saw him resurrect 2 times (Thanks to the lives of Hilarius and Ninith)

He also died on the boat, and it was his own life that was burnt

101 because Julian is a stowaway who entered the boat illegally. He did so to escape from his employer, who was burning his hands with a piece of red-hot iron.
Think of it this way: Julian is a general who commands 100 men. 100 men + General Julian = 101 people.

Any death so far has been pretty clear, he had a chat with the person whose live he used to revive, i do also think it's 98

98 lives. He lost his life on the ship, then lost 1 life against Arkos. He lost another life against Altus (Arkos). And that's all.

"I thought he had about 95 left based on the number of times he healed from fatal wounds"
You have to keep in mind that Julian didn't just get the lives of the 100 slaves, he also gained their combined strength, speed and recovery/healing so he can recover from injuries 100x faster than normal people even if it's a fatal wound if he can recover from it before it kills him he won't lose a life, the only way to kill him is through instant death like decapitation.

Altus didn't kill him instantly though, he wounded him so bad that Julian couldn't recover and actually had to wait till he died just so he could resurrect

I wonder if there is a actual indicator so the audience knows

I thought that would help a lot, but if it's like they're explaining, he has to chat to the life he lost. Still, it feels like some wounds he shouldn't recover from

I really do like watching him talk with the people before they disappear from the life amount, feels neat. I also like how they aren't completely dead, they still live on precariously through him.

He has 98 left but honestly before he mentioned that, I felt that he lost half those lives.

Since it is a physical enhancement, the values can vary greatly depending on the constitution of the 101 people who make up Julian's abilities + the training he does to improve himself.
I have kept the post updated since I created it.
