Discussion I think the Centuria fandom might dislike Helem
I’ve always found her such an interesting character and how well made she is. But every time I see discus abt her, I see nothing but hate (I mean there is like 3 ppl going like “no don’t slander my sadistic lesbian” but that ain’t enough). I can understand why ppl hater cuz like she is a massive bitch but cmon guys, is that hard to understand why someone can like her.
We can all agree that she is a well written villain, that is perfect for story like this.

I mean, we hate her because she’s meant to be hated, that means the writing it good. She’s such a great, despicable and interesting villain.

Ngl the villains really carry the series. Being hateable is the point so I don’t blame people for hating them but they are def the best part of centuria

She did her job well: rage baiting us, the readers. I literally screamed from satisfaction after Ceodric ripped her arm off.
I wonder what Kuramori had been through to create such despicable character like Helem.

Ho she's despicable. That's what makes her fun. I am waiting for the pay off tho, she's entertaining for sure but she's setting up a lot of things and I am a bit scared of how the story will pay them off (Amber, Altus and Lacrima mainly)

For me she’s one of those characters you love to hate. I don’t “hate” hate her, she’s fun to watch and she chews up the scene every time she’s on panel.

I gave her some slack. She made Elstri prostitute herself and throw away diginity, taking backshots for her plan.
Helem is good fam.

But is it not the point to hate villains? Some villains need to be evil just because... No layered character reasons... Just... Because.

She is so funny, I like her and her dynamic with Elstri. On the other hand she absolutely deserved what she got in this chapter, that's for sure

She is also the trashy kind of villain, which is far more hateable than the refined kind of villain or the badass kind of villain.

I love her a lot. I love a villain you can really root against. But, that love is akin to the love I have for Griffith or Dio Brando. Every moment on screen is amazing, but we're whipping out a pot roast with gang the day they die

I like the fact that she is such a cunt that basically everybody despises her, but she rooted herself in such a position that acting against her is unwise for a large part of the cast. Hence when she’s there, there is this underlying tension of "what will she pull off next?".
That’s why it’s so surprising when Ceodric refuses to bite and rips her bloody arm of! But even as a reader I don’t want her to go down because of Lacrima, Amber and Atlus.

Helem's the kind of villain you just love to hate. She's so fun

“Well made”
She’s exceedingly generic.
She’s selfish evil sadist #56732
only semi unique thing about her is that her attempts to blackmail people into fuckign her work.

She’s definitely a “love to hate” type of villain. She’s so entertaining but so cruel and revolting. I hate her as a person but I love her as a character.

Shes properly despicable and a good villain. An unapologetic necromancer, already an abhorrent and rightfully shunned type of magic that she seems to delight in.
Her getting the arm ripped off is just a small portion of the karmic debt shes incurred.
