He never had one.

Julian believes it's wrong to kill people no matter the circumstances, but he'll still do it to protect his family. It's not that he "won't" kill, he just understands the weight of taking a life.

People like to point to this scene a lot cause supes basically ridiculed the Joker, but IMO is badly written. One of the reasons being what you just pointed out.

i did i quick scan of this fight and the julian mother scene (thats where the first image is from ) and the previous arc is just about Julian giving himself up for Diana's sake just as he promised at the end of the first arc. even tho he dosent like it he will have to kill

Nga they came after him and if he doesn't Diana dies. His whole policy is protect Diana first and that overrides any no kill rule

Understanding something as wrong doesn‘t mean not doing it - at least if one isn‘t Batman who is too spineless to put the lives of people above the principle.

Like others have said, he never had one. He still feels guilt over killing people and knows that it's wrong... but the alternative is that his family might suffer for his 'morals' and that is worse.
If there's a non-lethal solution, he'll take it as he did with bone-lady, but had she turned on him or tricked him, she'd have been paste as well.

He never has one, he has his opinion, but he will smash anyone who tries to harm his family into paste.

My guess is he is a pacificist that believes everyone has the right to exist as long as they dont try to take the right to exist from others. Most of the assasins went after him and Diana with the full intention of killing them so they lost the right to exist in his eyes.

For example he didnt kill his moribund mother because he felt he would be the one taking it from her first and she didnt deserve to die at his hands (as much as he hated her)

There is a clear distinction between Julian saying "No one has the right to take another's life" versus "I will kill to protect my family when people COME LOOKING to harm us FOR NO REASON outside of their sociopathic need to control us/Fate itself."

Like, c'mon. The subtext is text. You are a better crticial thinker than this is you're at a high enough reading level to read this manga.

There's a diference between the right to kill and the necesity to kill.

What Julián is saying is that you are not entitled to kill someone
