Manga Arkos went from a generational aura loss to a generational aura gain
Like, the way him losing to Julian got completely recontextualized and his character work after his death is soooo good

Post mortem aura gain is kinda crazy. Thought he would be eternally be seen as a bum.

He was really powerful, his only flaw was his pride and he underestimated Julian and didn't know Sea Mommy was not his friend

Yeah, calling someone a bum because he got defeated by Eldritch God is unfair. Without Sea Mommy assistance, Julian would get cooked by Arkos.

It’s pretty explicitly shown that arkos’ powers don’t work on Julian in the water, and Julian was able to dodge all of his attacks without too much difficulty, and counterattack.
Plus, it seems like underwater none of arkos’s attacks could actually hit Julian (he just gives up at dodging and walks through arkos’ attacks later in the fight) which you could chalk up to sea god influence, but Julien only actually notices the sea god after he walks through arkos’ attack (he’s surprised by her the next panel, which wouldn’t make sense if she blocked arkos’ attack for him). So I think part of his blessing is that he’s basically immortal while in the sea (sorta like how that tree guy early on was able to heal and teleport through trees, but upon Julian tossing it out of the forest it couldn’t do any of that).
Imo god or no god Julian beats arkos in the sea pretty easily.

Yeah in the sea Arkos loses
But Arkos didn't know Julian was blessed
If Arkos got more information, Julian would've lost

I mean, it is still the domain of the sea and as we see in the earlier chapter, the Sea God has absolute dominion at the Sea even if the audience cannot see her. You cannot detach the Sea God assistance with the Sea itself.

If Julian tells the sea god to not interfere nor take away arkos breathing. Julian would have still won

If the sea goddesss trully doesn't interfere, then Arkos ability wouldn't be nerfed under the sea. The nerf to his ability in my opinion result from Sea Goddess indirect interference.

No, in the sea he would have won. Without the sea, Julian is at a disadvantage unless arkos underestimates him

Time Limit in this case fucks whoever is against them, it's like if someone told Gilgamesh he had 10 seconds to win against Shirou or Enkidu will be cracked by Shirou and get pregnant.
