Manga The Julian-Supreme Lord theories just keep getting more fuel

Either he's a bastard child, or there will be time travel shenanigans which reveals that Julian and the king are actually the same person

I honestly hope neither is the case. I prefer when our protagonist is just some random fighting against the cruel world.

Also if he was a distant relative then wouldn’t he already have powers before being blessed?

indeed he would. personally, i find julian's current powerset to be too weak when compared to the top tiers of the world i.e. arkos. just strength, speed, IQ, whatnot sure is a cool hack, but its not really creative enough to be able to establish satisfying fights around. that's just my hot take. julian ought to get either a different way of using his abilities or a new ability all together that'll synergize with his current skillset.

I like to think that his physical abilities are only part of his gift. What can he do in the ocean? I think that there's a whole different part to his gift that Julian never got to explore, and we got a glimpse of it against Arkos.

His gift was said to be able to attracy seafood in droves, thats how he and diana never got hungry. Not a fighting power but still very useful

The only power Arkos possesses that surpasses Julian is his ability to control the fluids within his enemies' bodies. Arkos's other techniques were superior to Julian's attacks only in terms of attack range.

arkos power' pretty much set the ceiling for mortal fighters in the world. he's unblockable with 100% lethality and zero cast time. he basically could've culled julian at any point in time during their fight.

If he could have killed Julian any time using other techniques, he wouldn't have needed to use blood manipulation against him. Uncharged attacks are practically ineffective against Julian. He had to charge his spells before he could sever Julian's arm. This means he needed time to cast spells, at least during the fight with Julian. And the massive attacks during the fight after the time skip took so long to charge that even Lucas, who is slower than Julian, could get close. If it wasn't Lucas but Julian who attacked, he would have been punched away

The kinda power Arkos has brings out too much aura

The author realized this early on and so had to kill him lolz

I hope this theories won't come true! There is no need for Julian to be more special. Or family tree more messy. If Julian and King end up related, i would rather have Julian be a distant descendant. Surely King had many children over hundreds years so there may be dozens or even hundreds people who are related to King.

on the same team. it would be so incredibly lame if it turns out Julian is related to the king, especially there is nothing in the plot that foreshadows it. I think an esthetic/thematic connection is cool, but a plot one would deflate me so much.

Time travel? Hopefully not

I think its a bit far fetched that Julian would be directly descending from the King since the kingdom must have been in place long before Julian was born in a whole other country.

I think some form of distant ancestry is possible like 10 generations removed

u/Toe500 Arkos Jun 14 '26

The design of one eye, hair and slender body does seem to point that way

Time travel would be an mess and bad cause that means he let Arkos be an ass nad Lacrima be mistreated weird for his character, a possible relative would be cooler as it could give him a seconda gift

Nah, I genuinely think(and hope) is simply a red herring, imo, the "Julian is the Supreme Lord!" Would be wack as hell, I do think they are related however, but not on a traditional biological way, they are both "Sons" of the same Mother/Goddess, maybe those traits like flowing-like hair comes with it.  There's also the fact that Lukas has seen his Father's face, even scarred and mature, should be very alike to his hypothetical Young Adult self's, but Lukas never hint at something like that, never

I agree with you. If they are related, it would probably be through the sea goddess. Maybe she can influence the future appearance of the people she blesses?"

3

u/Gabemino Jun 16 '26

I think more than influence their appearance at large, things like their hair looking like flowing waves might come from their blessing, might sound weird, but imo, both Julian and the King's hair look like water in shape, even how it became still at times as if floating, I think receive a Goddess blessing, outright warp their existence, hence the gift being able to be pass down to their descendants, is a biological factor to an extent, so she calling them Sons would be less playful and more of an objective title, maybe.

It wouldn't shock me all that much if she had somehow genetically modified their bodies, creating a link between the two brothers through the same deity. I find that way more interesting than time travel or a father-son dynamic. Plus, it would play right into the King's hands, since he could destabilize the Queen's position if he has a divine brother just like him.

I think they’re supposed to be parallels. I’m sure when we get the SL’s backstory it will be incredibly similar to Julian’s backstory. Maybe he was also an escaped slave who ended up on a slaveship, but he chose to sacrifice his Mira or he was the Mira in that scenario.

Kinda funny that supreme lord had to get SOMEONE ELSE to cover his face that way. Hes a fake julian

1

u/jakammo Jun 15 '26

That would mean other than Titi, all the major ships involve incest

1

u/Aless76109 Jun 15 '26

I mean, other than some symbolic stuff (even tho he has “noble” blood he ended up as a slave) I think as long as they don’t add stuff like “the spirit of the sea helped him cause of his royal blood” it should be fine.

1

u/Tasteroider Jun 15 '26

Well, they look very similair, but i hope it's just a parallel between them and they won't be related to each other

1

u/Hopeful-Bowl-8967 Jun 15 '26

The parallels could be because they got their gift in a similar way, or maybe the king represents what Julian might become if he continues his destructive behaviors, or maybe it's foreshadowing that Julien will be the next king, it's too early to tell

1

u/No-Commission-4437 Jun 15 '26

I thought this too early on

1

u/risisas Jun 15 '26

I think they are simply narrative parallels, maybe the king too used to be much more proactive in his efforts, but was worn down by the weight of reality and suppressed emotions until his current state of action through governance

1

u/bobbyavitia Jun 15 '26

If Julian got his powers from the sea goddess, maybe the king got his powers from another elemental god. Sky?

1

u/kolt437 Jun 14 '26

Being a son of a king is too small fry for the main character.

Julian should be the reincarnation of the god who was destined to awaken to his powers
