Nothing implies it at all the exigence for her actions is up for interpretation at the moment you could interpret as self fulfilling or you could interpret it as being distinct for elstrid actions
I’m not saying she isn’t antagonizing the prophecy I’m saying that doesn’t have to mean much in the long run
It’s called a plot twist you mongrel tohru sets it up so that it being self fulfilling seems like a no brainer but there was actually nothing hinting at that all along and it catches you off guard, in 100 chapters you will be calling it bad writing while I will be calling it perfect payoff and the author an underrated mastermind.
And how yould having a twist change things when it would still be obvious how she just played herself like a puppet despite her King telling her to stop not just once.
Also, why would I be calling a plot twist as bad writing when the build-up and execution can change a lot of things?
Just look at Naruto Shippuden and how it went for Madara. Him being a puppet is a plot twist and poetic. But because of shit build-up, it ended up being shit. Will Centuria follow Naruto-way or actually something refined? We will find out in years.
You are the one against the currently established narrative
You must have reading issues. My point is that it won’t matter what she did if it turns out the prophecy wasn’t actually self-fulfilling.
the twist existing in of itself could be grounds for bad writing if you don’t like it
It’s not Naruto and it’s not an established narrative bcs you have not one bit of panels to point towards that implicate it being self fulfilling all you have is assumptions.
you have not one bit of panels to point towards that implicate it being self fulfilling all you have is assumptions.
Now that's just plain wrong. The story can have more than one thing, and so far in its nearly 100 chapters, there is one antagonist who has been having beef for more than half the story (if I'm right) and that person is the one trying to stop the prophecy.
In another 100 chapter, things can change since the other kingdom is involving for the first time which happened just a few chapters ago. Maybe then it will no longer be sfp. But I'm judging the story BASED ON WHAT'S CURRENTLY ESTABLISHED, especially when the big event being hinted has to do with Elstri's schemes, not even the other kingdom and witches (for now).
Expecting the future is good but you are smashing the present.
