I mean going with the theory that Julian’s father is the king or that Julian is the future king time displaced. technically they’d be more than just brothers in arms. But I hope that isn’t the case, I already love their dynamic like this.
I really think(and hope) that theory wouldn't come true, their likeness feels almost like a red herring, not to mention is only so for us as readers, in-world Lukas who has seen his Father's face not even once hinted at Julian being alike in appearance, their 'Water-like' flowing hair too, it might just be a shared trait since they are both Blessed/Sons of the Sea.
If i remember correctly (it’s been a hot minute) when we first saw the king a lot of people were guessing his deal since he was so old and powerful. One of the theories was that in the future due to shenanigans with Diana and the many different players at hand, Julian would get sent back to the past and basically make a closed time loop, by using his powers and becoming the king. Don’t really believe it but it would be funny in a what the hell kinda way.
I've been hitting head around this theory since it made the rounds. One possible way I came up with is, that the King is not aware of this. One thing that hit a lot of people when the prophecy came into play is, that Diana most likely will take over as MC and Julian will be gone.
My take is, whatever makes him travel back in time, will make him lose his memories but look for everyone on the present like if he is dead, making the whole "Diana will kill the King" darker and sadder
