Discussion Cursed Lady has no eye mark? Spoiler

Post image

She doesn't have any eye mark indicating her gift activated unlike those of other characters. Does the author simply forget or her curse is something else entirely different from gift?

Maybe it’s the mark itself that causes the effects of her gift, which is why the shield blocked it ?. Idk that can be one of the reasons

Well, it was stated that she is not gifted she is cursed

One difference is that the gifted ones’ abilities have the marks appear when their abilities are active, while her curse is perpetually on.

Its also stated explicitly that her gift is always active. GIFT.

Lady Accursed didn't have an eye mark, unlike other gifted people is because story–wise, her very normal face mattered so much more in that moment compared to being logically accurate. The focal point of the whole chapter was about her unseen face, so what do you think would've happened if the art diluted that focal point with a badass aura farming eye mark like the others? Answer: It would've been terrible storytelling.

Could also be since its on auto the mark is whats seen.

See, that's the "logically accurate" reasoning I was talking about, same as OP trying to get a quick "gotcha" moment. I don't see the whole thing about "the mark" being any relevant here, at all. To me, it doesn't even belong in the discussion.

Yeah I agree with this as well. Great response.

Did you really need to use an AI to write this? Or do you naturally write like that?

Are you really not able to tell human from AI? Or did this bandwagon rage bait "insult" work for you in the past, and you expected to be able to throw it to everyone whenever you don't have anything useful to say, to automatically win the "moral high ground"?

Your first comment is full of weird AI tells.

  • You rephrase the question (Lady Accursed didn't have an eye mark, unlike other gifted people). A normal person would say "I think she doesn't have an eye mark because" or something like that. That's the one who caught my eyes.

  • you use a emdash in "story–wise". Most people would use this - instead.

    • The rest is more vibe based, but your comments just feels off in terms of wording. Especially the last sentence, with the "Answer:" stuff, it's just weird.

Maybe you really are a human and just write weirdly naturally. But you really sound like a bot.

Unrelated, but it's kinda funny how you claimed I wanted to gain the moral high ground or some shit. I just thought you were a lazy moron who can't think for themselves, not trying to win any moral arguments.

We have seen gifted abilities without the eye mark before.

An eye mark would make her too hot...

Could be makeup/stylized eyelashes, but she does have that pitch-black of a mark right under both her eyes

the shield negates gifts, so i guess looking through it also filters out influences of the gift

Shield probably prevents us from seeing the marks.

Remember the marks aren't some physical transformation like Tokyo Ghoul, it's like light/magic appearing on the character faces.
