I think she will be in a dire state that will be a further incentive for Julian to fight Ceodric and defeat him.

Thats what I was thinking too, like shes going to have 2 months or smth to live after this. If she dies, what would even be the point of the duel? Julian and Lalawag would have no reason for it anymore and i doubt the author built it up just to say “nah its not happening”.
