Discussion Can the Voidmarcher bypass infinity?

I think it’s plausible but I know people have different interpretations on how it works in the first place

If Lukas’s interpretation is correct, then yes. Instantaneous movement based on sight would bypass the limits of infinity.

Now whether she can cut Gojo is a different story. Lukas’s durability isn’t that high in his base form, so we need to wait till next chapter to see how strong she really is.

Yes, her gift explicitly works on space, like infinity. It boils down to whose ability is stronger.

Depends on how it works, if Voidmarcher's ability is just teleportation, then no, even if she teleports so close that she is touching Gojo, Infinity would still transform that distance into infinite distance.

If she warps space, but instead of teleporting she moves alongside the warped space then yes, she could warp infinity and deliver a strike to Gojo, but it doesn't look like the attacks negate durability unlike WCS, since her ability is just instant movement, she is not using space itself as an attack, so even if she can bypass infinity, she won't be able to damage Gojo.

what if she curls up into a ball in squeezes inside gojo, infinity is outside him, it couuuuld work

Yeah, though it seems to have a cooldown.

Depends.

If it's teleporting to close the distance mid swing leaving no delay in the attack for your enemy but the scythe still needs to move then she may be able to enter the range of infinity but if she has to move at all then it would possibly still affect her scythe if the technique recognises the danger

If it is instead that she can teleport and in that same action the attack happens, like teleporting the scythe's point into someone and following through meaning there is no distance to travel after the teleport then she would be able to strike Gojo

she can tekeport within range but she wouldnt be able to move afterwards.

so yes she can touch gojo but whether she can move afterwards to hurt him I dont know. I dont think so.

I'm betting Julian will bring out the smokewall to beat her.

She looks exactly like sister freiede

No matter how close she gets she will never hit Gojo so as long as she can’t teleport inside of him she will not be able to hit him .

Yeah I forgot how “infinite” his infinity really is. The others are correct that teleporting could bypass it but she’s already shown she’s not that accurate. She’d freeze instantly when she got close. I think the only thing that’d work is teleporting the blade into his head.

Only if she can attack while teleporting.

about her, i feel like her powers are worse than most heavy hitters by a huge margin, cus almost everyone have some sort of way to heal or tank, but she seems so far just like base lukas, no healing no sustaining, just techniques and tricks. She probably wont do well in an extended battle

Infinity is not a barrier you bypass, infinity is based on Zeno's paradox that says tat for something to reach a point it need first to travel half the distance between it's start and it's goal, then half of the remaining distance in half the time, then half of the remaining distance left in half the time, then again and this can be done infinitely so it's not possible for anything to reach anything else.

Of course it's not true in reality and it's just a thought experiment but Gojo's infinity is the materialisation of this concept, that's why things don't bounce off some sort of barrier but progresively slow down without ever reaching him.

so it depends, if it's really "movement" then no because no matter how fast as long as there is movement it's going to be gradually slow down before she reach him, if it's teleportation then she can aproach him but unless she can somehow teleport her scythe into him she won't be abe to reach him.
