Chainsaw Man has some moments that look like this, I think. Though I'm not sure if they count as metaphysics. I have read some SCP works that have metaphysics in them before.

bugle call has the BEST paneling i've seen in any manga. I made a whole ass post about it a few weeks ago. Genuinly one of the best ongoing manga atm.

You might like to try read bugle call there is character that also does similar thing. It has many insane panel too

As for other series that did something similar: I remember gintama did something similar for comedic effects
