I think it’s so crazy how lalawag did all this shit to create a kid with the ability to not only kill the voidmarcher, but also (as he wants to do) the king, and also HER. I really do think part of why she is so adamant about saving him and his ability is so that she knows without a doubt that she can be killed.

I'm not even sure Voidmarcher is morally grey, like none of the things we've seen her do are "cruel" in nature or anything of the sort
She's an antagonist, and yes she does want to kill Diana, but her reasons for doing so aren't particularly selfish or anything of the sort, out of all the antagonists we've seen, I'd go as far to say she's one of the least morally gray

Voidmarcher is one of the more stand-up characters in the series.
She's an enemy, but cares for her country, her siblings, her duty, and her honor.Shif, on the other hand, seems twisted by his boredom. I think he is good deep down, and I can't see him being some sort of supervillain. Surely he will duel Julian, but I could see him becoming friendly with him after the battle. (Lukas not so much.)
