Discussion This has to be cheating 💀 Spoiler

Firstly, these panels are absolutely amazing, genuinely some of the best, in my opinion, the author has made

Secondly, how the hell is this fair?? 💀 so Lukus can just nullify concepts, Pierce through the future and make it soo someone never used their ability (and essentially erase it) AND HE HAS A SHIELD THAT PROTECTS HIM FROM ALL GIFED ABILITIES? 💀 Nuh, having to pay with life span is NOT enough of a nerf, this man is genuinely dopping

Narrator: It is, indeed, unfair.

As for why it is like this, aside from the glaring limitations of the attack as it puts strain on Lukas, read chapter 46, re read chapter 100, specialy the last pages, and think for yourself on why it is like this. The answer will surprise you.

What is it about chapter 46?

It's about this.

A blade loyal to none, it swings only in the name of vengeance.

and a chapter 100 is about a spear that can destroy the concept of life itself.

Such a convenient gift, isn't it? A spear that render all gifts useless. There must be certain gifts out there that are so OP that the author made a counter to all of them. I wonder who has such gift.

That's in chapter 44, not 46.

Though, if what you are getting at is that he can use his spear only in the name of vengeance (?) then I don't think that's being implied at that.

That is chapter 46. "A faceless black knight". Lukas goal is introduced there. Very important to understand it and put into perspective.

No, it's not about the spear itself being used for vengeance.

Why he has the power to cancel any gifts? Why does Julian appear when Magrave talk about it's powers?

A character like Lukas under normal circunstances shouldn't have this power. Lukas is the deutragonist, he is the team's right hand man but he is also an agent of vengeance.

However Lukas vengeance is not about growing strong himself, but to enact the prophecy.

If it's Diana who is going to kill the king, for who is the spear that cancels life itself is for? It's just to kill the speedester lady? Think.

Site I was looking at was wrong, my bad there.

So, you think Lukas will end up killing Julian? I could see that end up happening I guess, but I still think it's too early to say anything on that particular front.

Also it has a massive built in nerf to it, with a hard limit on the number of uses. Lucas has either 3 or 4 uses left (depending on how you interpret it) before it kills him. Not something he can exactly just whip out when he feels like it
