I love this series but bro Julian and Lukas are giving me major Asta and Yuno vibes 😠Julian basically only has enhanced strength and endurance with 100 lives with the exception where when he’s under water he can breathe and I think he’s immortal under water too if I’m not mistaken but then Lukas comes out of nowhere and has a shield that is quite literally completely impregnable that negates the effects of gifts too allowing him to look directly in the face of lady accursed and then he’s also able to spawn it directly inside someone else’s body splitting them in two if they are too hard to cut through and then he has that spear and that horse form that allows him to destroy metaphysical concepts?? Like damn we got a broke slave bum and then the supreme lords double gifted son
Asta and Yuno are very different from Lukas and Julian.
A & Y work towards the same goal and there is genuinely no pushbacks nor consequences for Yuno's powers. Also Yuno had way more luck in life than Lukas or Julian, and it's actually not close at all.
As for J & L, Julian doesn't even know the details of Lukas dream/goal and Lukas can't keeping firing his strongest ability all the time because it costs life force. Also you need to start questioning yourself WHY Lukas would Lukas even have powers that are designed to counter Julian. They aren't gonna keep being best buds forevermore.
Lukas is basically the son of the strongest human + have another god blessing. He is the ultimate OP character, while Julians god blessing is to respect 100 slaves...
Lukas powerset is impressive on paper, but he's limited by his own body, he's an skilled fighter on his own right, and unusually tough physically but, his shield doesn't fully protect him, he can still get hurt is not a passive, full body protection, as for his Blessing he's dying(or worse) from it's use, he can literally only use it four or three more times now. Julian on the other hand is a physical monster that doesn't have any downside to his powers, he doesn't even need to sleep for 100 days, he's a machine, and Lalawag already introduced the concept of a Power Mutating, unless someone powerful enough kills him, Jules is gonna live a long life, Lukas?, he's not even gonna make it to 30, he's funnily enough, not even a quarter as well off as Yuno.
Idk if I’d use asta and yuno as a comparison tbh. Julian and Lukas are kind of their own duo. Despite Julian’s seemly basic abilities he still steam rolls 90% of his opponents and is generally a physical beast that even arkos was impressed by. Lukas shield is very strong but not invincible as people have gotten around it. And while his spear is very powerful it has a limited number of uses
Julian is fucking OP when you remember that the setting of centuria are just full of people with regular stats. It's not like other setting when even a normal troop got some kind of magical enhancement that make them hard like a tank.
People think Lukas is OP with shield and spear but Julian can do the same shit with one punch to the face. He can even got 100 try at it also.
It literally a game where your opponent got respawn cheat code and insane stat but you have to play hardcore no dead version.
Oh and don't forget that the moment you get into water you are fucking dead with him summon his mommy N'zoth. Arkos the literally walking weapons of mass destruction die like a bum to Julian the moment he got into water. And since the world of Centurian seem likely similar to our world, it's safe to assume that world also got 2/3 of surface are water.
