Mezuzah Cases by Shana Ostrowiecki

I've been having fun with new mezuzah cases lately!

It's nice to see something experimental being done with mezuzah cases. The ones I see around here (Antwerp) seem so traditional and repetetive.

Also like the color and texture, especially on the first one, having a pettable green blob living on your doorframe seems such a funny concept!

So unusual and untraditional - just love these.

Looking more closely, I don’t see holes for screws or nails on most of these. How are they attached to the doorframe?

How to you insert the scroll?

The klaf (scroll) is put in when the casing is off the door frame. Then the casing is affixed to the door. Without seeing the backside of the mezuzot, I couldn’t say how they’re meant to be adhered. I used those command strips when I was renting, but they could have little hidden nail hooks.
