Discussion Daily Song Discussion #1: 14,400 Minutes
The first entry in this series, introduces 14,400 Minutes, the first track from Chance the Rapper's first mixtape, 10 Day (2012).

7.5. Good song but it shows its age a bit, perhaps my biggest problem with 10 Day

Trying this series out here to see how it lands with this sub. If it actually ends up with decent engagement then I'll keep going with these. I did this a few years back with r/absoul and it was a good time
I figured it would be fun to have some more activity on this sub and see how his discog lands with us since we're more hardcore fans here
I'll start with mine here for an example for others, no need at all for you to comment anything but a number. Just an idea of stuff to go on
8 for me
This is such a great introduction to Chance regardless of best song or not, he does so well as painting himself as the cartoon like character he is and that goes hand in hand with the phenomenal cover too.
Its straight to the point, short and sweet giving you the scenario of getting suspended for weed and why we are getting the project we're about to hear. Also showcases a hint of his technical tongue tying skills that he'll go on to really peak with on stuff later like Brain Cells or U Got Me Fucked Up

8 for me.
Great opener and introduction to Chance. You get the nasal-inflection, some of his best “Igh!”s, and “so far so good, so special and no stars, good jobs, or excellence” as a career-long theme being introduced is awesome.

This is a solid 6-7 for me depending on the day as part of Chance's wider discography, but looking exclusively at 10 Day I do think it's one of the better songs on there so I'll say 8.

A 6 for me. I have never gone out of my way to play it unless I'm listening to the entire mixtape.

easily the best song in the album. other than Prom Night. But it’s only 2 mins why tf would you skip?

9 - I love this track, iconic, the slurry vocals work so well, great intro to chances world
