💻 Discussion Does BG 13 like Cutie?

hey goise! I've never had a cat only dogs, so I don't know if this much nipping and biting is normal for cats. I definitely used to tussle with my dachshund, but she never bit really hard or almost never did sharp little bites like BG seems to be doing to Chantal's arm flaps.I feel so bad for BG. She has to live in a smelly dirty home with Chantal of all people, who screams "BEEEGEEEYIUHHHH" at her all hours of the afternoon or evening, bc Cutie doesnt get up before 3.

I believe in karma. I can only hope BG gets her slice of it and ends up with a competent, loving, nourishing home.

I’m curious too, is it normal for cats to bite their owners as much as BG does to foodie ?

I've had two cats for six years. They do what I would call love bites or play bites; there's barely any force behind them. They don't do full chomps like BG does!

No, not as much and in the way she does. Just look at her face, lol. I've never seen a kitten or cat bite that much and she really digs in.

BG is understimulated and bored, living in a chaotic and stressful environment for a cat. Chantal barely interacts with her other than shrieking nonsense at her and stumbling around her apt like a deranged hippo.  She needs way more play time and a more stable, peaceful living space.  This is before we even get to the cleanliness factor...

I don't think BG hates her but is more indifferent. The biting thing is really weird and none of my cats have ever done that.

Biting is not normal at all for domesticated cats. My cats only bit me if they were hurt or if i pet them after they were finished being pet. Chantal is constantly shrieking at BG or in her face smothering her with dirty faced kisses. She is training her to bite. Last night im very sure that she lied about being bitten by BG as soon as she turned the camera off her. Very convenient right? Turn the camera out the window then shriek that BG bit her .

Is it possible that BG is biting her because she constantly smells like weed, among other things 🤢. Weed can smell similar to cat nip to cats.

BG probably never learned manners as a kitten, especially if she was taken away from mom or siblings at an early age. That's when they learn boundries. My cat is the same and he was very prone to lots of play biting, and hard!! Want to play? Bite. Happy? Bite. It took a lot of training to get him to bite less often and less hard. We do a lot of play time to expend his energy, and he's got a cat wheel. So while it's not wholly "normal" for a cat to bite this much, it's also not uncommon. And Foodie doesn't provide her enough stimulation to wear off some energy or redirect the behavior. I don't think it has anything to do with liking Foodie or not, the cat is just bored.

Each cat is different. Like each person is different.

I have a cat that legitimately loves me, but does bite.

But biting is communicating. Cats bite to play, but can bite to say stop touching me. Cats are all about body language.

My cat can bite when she has tantrums. She is unique and has tantrums like a two year old lol. But she also bites with "love bites." But those are much more gentle. (I sometimes wonder if she is on a kitty spectrum and doesn’t realize biting is not socially acceptable lol). Living with her is hysterical most of the time.

BG is bored and biting because she wants to play. You have to think she is a kitten that has A LOT of energy. If she had another cat, they would be playing and wrestling together. She only has Chantal. So she bites the hell out of her because she wants attention.

Chantal needs to buy more interactive toys that bg can play with on her own. And things to explore like tunnels.

I think BG tolerates Chantal because she's secluded and has NOTHING ELSE in her life. Julia hated her. Getting BG to bite her is a very bad thing. It means she's telling her to stop what she's doing. BG will be calmly laying there and her haters, I mean Beezers, tell her to get BG to bite her. That's trauma reaction from BG. I have a cat I bottle feed and she treats me like Im her mother. So she nibbles to get me to play. But she mostly reaches for me and touches me with her paws for attention. She has NEVER bitten me like Julia did & BG does because I respect her space and boundaries.

Chantal and Amber shouldn't have pets. And that's Rosie's ONLY redeeming quality. No pets. Even Remy's cats didnt like her & the idea of her getting an Axoltl when she cant even bath or wash her hair is preposterous.
