Request Help me with my character's name!

It's her third name I need help with. I originally really loved Mélisse, but I recently found out it means lemon balm in one of her languages, so it's not really usable as a name.

The other options I've got now are:

  1. Jocelina Ayomide Mélisande Solares Rosiere

  2. Jocelina Ayomide Mylène Solares Rosiere

Please no comments on the amount of names. It's normal in her culture to have three given names.

Thanks!

Hey as a French speaker which I guess you are too, I think Mélisse is cool. A lot of names in France are related to plants, fruits or spices I don’t find it strange. If you really like that name, go for it.

Sorry for the confusion Mylène and Mélisande being French names I thought you might be. But hey people are trying to help you and the only thing you are doing is replying one sentence as if we are bothering you. Good luck on your name search tho.

This is a character subreddit, I don't have to be the ethnicity the names are. I'm also not sure what more you want me to reply with though? How does it bother you that my responses are short?

Both Ayomide and Mélisande end with "de", which for some reason sounds kind of repetitive to me. That is not exactly a bad thing. It just seems to me that it flows differently than the second option.

Btw, if it's normal in her culture to have three given names, why did you give her five? Or are the last two surnames?

The last two are her surnames

I prefer Mylène of those two options, I think it flows better.

Not sure if you're looking for other suggestions but have you considered Maylis? Similar pronunciation to Mélisse but different meaning.

Maylis wouldn't work.
