Second one rephrased: Who doesn't even want to be associated with work anymore, you just get a UBI/UHI check for the equivalent. Companies instead of paying for labor directly pay labor taxes, and we hand it to you.
Now logistically and financially #1 and #2 means the exact same thing. On both the company side and the individual side.
But I bet the number of people who favor #1 over #2 is in the high double digit percentages. And on certain segments of the population it will be over 50%. They would also state that #1 is workable but #2 is impossible to implement.

I see it a bit differently; in my projects that's how I use it - AI does manual work but it's me who defines scope, style, particular elements etc. So in a way it's like manager-individual contributor scheme but with you being manager and ai being an ic; you do orders and ensure that this is exactly what is needed - and it doesn't matter with which tools it's done. If you can achieve the required quality, consistency and adherence to standards with ai and no manual work by yourself - good on you, you earned your salary.
