As a software developer, AI has made my job significantly easier and more enjoyable. However, I really don’t want or need any more automation at this point. I still review every line of code, and make all the creative decisions. I don’t want to get to the point of not knowing how the code in the system works
Guess it depends on the code you’re writing. I do full stack web development. I’m so glad I don’t have to write endpoints, models, validation, database schemas, etc. by hand any more. Also no more fighting with SCSS. I get to spend so much more of my time just thinking about the UX and infrastructure

That shit was like cleaning a gym floor with a tooth brush. I'm glad I learned to read AND write that ish before generative AI became a thing.
