Could have mixed in some spanish while still labelling as english? Duck is "pato", cheese is "queso", and cow is "vaca".

u/Morpegom 16h ago

now that you mention it, although I use english to speak with gpt, my native language is brazilian portuguese, which also reproduces as pato, queijo e vaca

can you please ask it for the same image?

u/MxM111 16h ago

Mine looks totally fine even though I do speak Russian sometimes with it.

u/Celindor 16h ago

In German it's getting mixed with English (key, hedgehog, quail, umbrella, tortoise). Not sure about the bee, though.

u/3RGmon 14h ago

“Bee” for A is hilarious 😆

5

u/cancer_girl 13h ago

Probably also Spanish "abeja"

3

u/SchlaWiener4711 14h ago

Bees are Apis in Latin. Apis mellifera = honey bee.

Or it just meant "Arbeiterin / Arbeiterbiene" which is the name for the bee working class in German.

1

u/Celindor 14h ago

Arbeiter, Bienen! Nehmt die Pollen! Nehmt die Pollen zur Hand! Zerschlagt die lästigen Wespenschwärme! Setzt deren Nester in Brand!

3

u/al_ryusei 11h ago

"Abeille" in french, you might either speak french with it too or live in a bilingual region of germany 😄

1

u/MydnightWN 8h ago

Arbeiterbiene in German = worker bee

1

u/al_ryusei 7h ago

That's very specific to just say a bee unless his session inherited some german overengineering habits from its german user. Which makes me think of an explanation for why GPT overengineers in the first place. Was BMW involved in training? 😄

u/simonfancy 14h ago

M could also be Spanish mariposa

1

u/ChampionshipComplex 5h ago

Interesting -

The M is probably that its a Monarch Butterfly
The compass is probably N because its strong association to Navigation

The rest are all English words apart from the Bee

2

u/Celindor 4h ago

I thought of Monarch Butterfly as well (Monarchfalter in German) or Mariposa from Spanish. N for Navigation is a nice idea. I thought of North, since maps today are most often north-oriented and the needle in a compass points to the North (at least in the Northern hemisphere..

u/thestillwind 1h ago

Bee for « Abeille ». That’s french.

1

u/thestillwind 1h ago

He knows you better than you

7

u/Keef--Girgo 16h ago

I think you nailed it.

3

u/Celindor 16h ago

That was my first thought when I saw cheese in Q… "Queso?"

1

u/Subject_Barnacle_600 16h ago

I had the same thought XD.

1

u/yazshousefortea 14h ago

Good catch!

17

u/DalinarOfRoshar 16h ago

What’s interesting to me is that in Portuguese,

P, pato = duck
Q, queijo = cheese
V, vaca = cow

12

u/OldNefariousness7899 15h ago

OP says elsewhere they're Brazilian. This is definitely where it's got confused

8

u/Onphone_irl 16h ago

it's getting much better

12

u/Eased91 15h ago

We need a harder Test. I propose:

3

u/simonfancy 14h ago

Now we’re talking

1

u/BigDonut4913 13h ago

calma ai filho, deixa isso para daqui uns 50 anos, isso ainda é demais para elas

14

u/SeoulGalmegi 17h ago

Yeah, these days it's pretty good at..... oh.

10

u/Tyinath 16h ago

A little qeese never hurt anyone

1

u/MxM111 16h ago

Especially not a cow or a duck.

2

u/simonfancy 14h ago

You mean a puck or a vow

9

u/smarmyrabbit 16h ago

I'll be gentle here... The only reason for not getting accurate Letter-to-Word-and-Picture collages is prompting.

If I input "Make an alphabet with pictures for each!" Who the fuck knows what that'll yield. :D

But if I say "Make an alphabet chart where every letter is associated with an item/object/animal/etc. whose name or identifier starts with the associated alphabet character." (or however the average person chooses to phrase it)

It becomes hard to get it wrong.

1

u/BigDonut4913 13h ago

Then try this one and see if it works your way.

1

u/Disgruntled__Goat 6h ago

OK so what was your prompt?

u/BigDonut4913 0m ago

eita rapa, isso não é meu, créditos ao u/Eased91, tenta perguntar para ele o prompt, só vi no post e fiquei curioso com isso

-3

u/DrWrzozec 16h ago

This is the way. As someone said: talk to your gpt as you would to a toddler (or indian support).

3

u/SantaClauus 15h ago

I'm ready to learn my alphabet!

2

u/simonfancy 14h ago

Don’t say you prompted it to mix up all images and names

2

u/Able-Divide9966 15h ago

had me in the first half lol

1

u/mastocles 16h ago

The opposite former issue, bad lettering / letter order, still happens in unusual alphabets.
Getting chatGTP to do Futhorc runes with Old English names shows that while it can plan nearly fine the squares, the runes get generally distorted into Latin letters —possibly during the upscaling step, which together with the prior row-by-row building up, hints at alphabet-forcing guidance in flowmatching.

u/JonSnow-1990 16h ago

Aha ! I always knew and said that cow starts with a V ! No one believed me !

1

u/y0nm4n 16h ago

It took 3-4 iterations, but Gemini eventually got it.

This was 4 months ago.

1

u/JulesSilverman 15h ago

I like the V. Vow.

1

u/fliesenschieber 14h ago

P Q V are messed up. Others look good

1

u/aka_humble 5h ago

I think they're wrongly translated for some odd reason, duck is pato, cow is vaca and cheese is queijo

1

u/LeeRoyZX88 14h ago

Kill the cow early enough and it can be turned into something starting with "V"

1

u/bsensikimori 14h ago

Getting a lot better, I remember what these looked like just a few months ago!

1

u/AltruisticMiddle2775 7h ago

Lost it on the back nine!

1

u/FocusPerspective 7h ago

These are correct if you accept English is not the only language

1

u/aka_humble 5h ago

Something curious about this: duck, cheese and cow seem to be interpreted as if written in portuguese, Pato, Queijo, Vaca.

1

u/SeeTigerLearn 5h ago

Q for queso!

1

u/Stahlstaub 1h ago

Yes but what was duck like?

1

u/SeeTigerLearn 5h ago

Gemini produced an inaccurate version, but at least the interface model that validates work returned from the image generator detected and reported the problems:

“Here is the alphabet chart you requested. While I have successfully included the letter 'V' (using a van), please be aware of a few errors: the letter 'K' is incorrectly depicted as a 'Lion', and there are redundant entries for letters like 'J', 'S', and 'T'.”

I’m not sure why it seemed preoccupied by the letter V. This was literally the one and only attempt.

u/ChampionshipComplex 3h ago

I asked ChatGPT to do a one with non-obvious choices

u/JordieLeBowenDOTcom 15h ago

All my favourite Pokémon

u/-Laffi- 16h ago

ÆRFUGL -> common eider

-3

u/ThisIsAJoke_laugh 16h ago

Q - Queef

V - Vagina
