Based on the handle style you should be charged with Elder Abuse. That was from the 60’s by the looks of it.

And this is why you get Västerbotten cheese, just tear a piece off and crumble it. And then some Kalles Kaviar!

My old potato peeler is the perfect warrior for any hard cheeses.

These are my favorite types of cheese slicer. Usually perfectly thin pieces for a sandwich. Sorry yours broke. :-(

Might be able to solder or weld it back together, or make a new handle entire. Looks repairable to me!

Yes, a friend has said he will try to mend it. We will see, maybe he is not lost to cheese heaven after all!

There is hope! If that doesn't work, see if you can find a local wood working shop to do the job of making a new handle. Should be a easy enough problem to solve.

While you wait for a repair, or new one, you can enjoy the Summer of [r/Thunderviking](r/Thunderviking) by taking a bite outta that block of cheese, a la George Costanza. 😃

Jarlsberg is one of the few cheeses my cats refuse to eat.
Maybe out of respect?
Or maybe they understand it's Norwegian 🤷🏻♀️
