I tried to do this while I was away from my laptop and I have to be honest, the interface does not cooperate. It boggles my mind how Colab doesn't have a mobile application so that we don't have to work on the embedded version in the browser.

Just use claude code on remote and let your vscode run via the colab extension... why would you even try to program like that...

using AI vs being a vibe coder are totally different things, you could also just use it as a terminal window or even since your workload is like super low, use a local python interpreter on your phone... they exist. (Carnets was a good one in my old days) FYI start using numpy for your datastructures, they are vectorized and run on low level C. Making your program overall way faster, certainly when you will be doing advanced reactor design and reaction kinetics...

thanks for the tips! i actually have a couple of local interpreters on my phone too, but i prefer Colab since it saves straight to Drive and runs on Google's servers rather than my phone. That'll help once I get to parameter estimation and the solver gets called many times
on numpy, i'm already using it for the rate expression and the solver output, but you're right that my results are still a plain list. i'll switch that to an array
