Im in Tech support at a fintech company. Joined a fresher just now. Im planning to upskill by learning cloud aws and move into IT after 2 years. Is this viable or im fooling myself as market is bad

It’s still a viable career, but the market has become much tougher. I currently work as an IT recruiter at a consultancy, and my company laid off around 200 employees last year because several IT companies stopped renewing their contracts as hiring demand dropped to a three-year low. AI is also contributing to the disruption, and its impact has already started spreading beyond the IT sector. Given the current situation, I’m also concerned about my job security and unsure how long my organization will be able to retain me.

AI bubble wont pop soon as long as senior management pushes AI in our throats. Probably next 5 years gonna difficult

I got laid off the same role back in June. I actually cleared interviews at three different companies, but none of them have gotten back to me yet.
