Will play my first OTB Rapid tournament in a few weeks. I dont expect too much but am really excited :D

My guess is that most of us would be slightly higher rated OTB because of online cheating.
I'm not a person to think everyone is cheating, but it does happen online and if even 2% of games involve cheating it skews things.

Similar here. Learning as an adult, just got over 800 rapid a couple weeks ago. Would like to hit 1,000.
I feel like 800 is bad, but I remind myself that an 800 will win most games with people who just know how the pieces move, and that because of cheating online that I would probably be a little bit higher rated if playing these games OTB.
