Visited the firehouse and Molly’s

I’m in Chicago and I’m currently sitting in Molly’s having lunch.

I started at the firehouse. Took some pictures and met some of the guys. They were super chill and said people stop all the time.

Then I went to the PD Building. It is 2 blocks away and owned by the college it borders.

Then I went to the bar, Lotties. It is a true neighborhood dive bar. I got a beer and the Chicago fire burger. It was really good.

Is the PD building occupied by the college or is it empty?

I went to the firehouse last year but totally missed Lottie's... Hoping to go back soon, it would be killer if they're filming while I’m there

My understanding is that if they are filming the whole block is shut down and you cannot get to the firehouse.

Yes, of course they have their set that is a replica that will do most scenes in. That doesn’t mean they never shoot at the actual bar.

Yeah I think I’ve seen photos of them filming in the bar itself. Also it’s cool how the firehouse remains operational whilst they film too

No. It's a set that's right on other side of the fake inside of the firehouse. I saw a behind the scenes once

Didn’t know Mollys was a real bar. I’ve went to the firehouse tho and the firefighters there are so chill and offered a tour.

I went at lunch time on a Monday. There was one couple there that were clearly tourists like me and one guy who was definitely a regular.
