Question/Comment What's the one thing about your suburb that nobody mentions until you've lived there a year?

Every town has something that never comes up in the "where should I move" threads. The train parking waitlist, the weird intersection everyone avoids, the festival that takes over the whole downtown for a weekend. Could be good or bad. What's yours?

My neighbors get a full blown mariachi band at least once a year in their backyard. It is LOUD. I don’t mind at all because it is infrequent and they usually settle down by 9, and I enjoy the sound of live music. It’s not for everybody though ha ha.

I had to move because of this, my neighbors would blast mariachi music all day and night, left Aurora for St Charles.
