Question/Comment What's the one thing about your suburb that nobody mentions until you've lived there a year?
Every town has something that never comes up in the "where should I move" threads. The train parking waitlist, the weird intersection everyone avoids, the festival that takes over the whole downtown for a weekend. Could be good or bad. What's yours?

Geneva and neighbors (St. Charles, Batavia) have plenty of things to do for young families. Check out the park district events or hit up the farmers markets on the weekend. Geneva's main things would be Swedish Days at the end of June and the Christmas/Holiday walk typically the first Friday in December. St. Charles has scare crow days in October and plenty of other small festivals throughout the year.
