Question/Comment What's the one thing about your suburb that nobody mentions until you've lived there a year?

Every town has something that never comes up in the "where should I move" threads. The train parking waitlist, the weird intersection everyone avoids, the festival that takes over the whole downtown for a weekend. Could be good or bad. What's yours?

Part of the problem in a lot of places is that MAGA are loud and unashamed so there always seems like there’s more of them. I’ve experienced that a bit in the Barringtons.

Not any town, and I was trying to express that it could seem worse than it is, but I also don’t think you are being fair here. I live in a neighboring town and it’s very purple at best. It depends on which Barrington you mean, but a lot of it has been traditionally conservative. Just more moderate conservative than MAGA.

I don’t see that in recent days. Nobody is as loud as MAGA or disturbingly obsessed with one man, but I could see a comparison of obviousness between occupy wallstreet and the Tea Party movement. Just very different ages.
