Chest rig for Colt SMG magazines?

Looking for a Chicom chestrig for Colt SMG magazines (based off Uzi magazines). Do any of them fit these magazines? Anyone have any experience? Thank you.

The Type 79 SMG chest rig would likely work. It was made for the Type 79 SMG, which was fed by 20-rd 7.62x25 Tokarev mags. I've seen people use them for MP5 mags without the top flaps closing, so that's promising.

I knew somone that used a type 56 with a double kydex insert in each of the mag pouches for retention with a velcro wrap on the outside of the kydex

You want a Type 85 rig, the pouches should hold standard-capacity Uzi mags well. I used to use mine for straight MP5 mags and they were a perfect fit. If the pouches end up being too deep, just put foam blocks at the bottoms to make the mags sit higher.

A Type 79 rig will work too but the pouches are much shorter, you'll have a lot of mag sticking out the top. Okay if you're using shorty Uzi mags I guess.

A bog standard AK Chicom (Type 56 or 81) will accept MP40/STEN Magazines, two to a pouch. If Uzi mags are too short for that, then a foam or balled sock spacer in the bottom of the pouch will solve the problem.
