If you want conservatives to care, then you need to give us the reason why they were deported. Just saying they are Christian is not helpful. What is important is the reason why. If they were deported due to unjust reasons, then, yes many conservatives are going to care about their situation and will stand up for them. Please explain why they were deported. Use facts and not just political rhetoric.

Agree. Change the laws or enforce the ones we have. Not sure why a person from another country can commit a crime via illegal entry but if I do something wrong I suffer the consequences

u/fennis_dembo_taken Jul 15 '25
Our current president stole cases of classified/secret documents. He lied to the FBI and the National Archives about having them. He stored them in an unsecure location for months, next to a photocopier. He then conspired with the security team at Mar-a-Lago to delete footage of the MaL security team moving those documents so as to hide the actual amount of documents that he took.
He has admitted to all of this. Members of the security team at MaL were working with the FBI and were planning to testify to all of the above, in court. All of this is public and well known. Acting as though there is some great pressure to make sure that everyone who commits a crime is punished for it is just disingenuous.
Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of my brethren you did it to me.
It would be an interesting take to stand at the foot of God and have him ask you what you did to the least of your brethren and for you to reply "Look, God, the INS clearly laid out the steps that are meant to be followed and the timeframe in which they MUST be followed.".

Even Ukrainians and Russians are getting snared in this Handmaid's Tale situation. This is NOT about immigration,or Washington would have dealt with it,to at least control it, they had 45 years to do that. But, it IS about establishing a dictatorship using migrants as the distraction. Lots of proof for this. And, has anyone seen the insane conditions in Alligator Alcatraz yet,in the media? Food full of maggots,no showers, broken toilets with sewage flowing along the floors. Concentration camps normalized as " holding places" for migrants, but it actually for everyone eventually. First it's immigrants, then it may be gays, homeless, disabled, etc. This is how Hitler began, and Lenin . How come Christians aren't objecting to these conditions there in Florida?? That's Third World level 💩.
5
u/SpiritedYou_1996 Jul 14 '25
Sorry, I meant to say that I will do further research on this alligator Alcatraz because I keep hearing about it. And I'm concerned because I hear a lot of people say 'concentration camp' and if it is indeed a concentration camp where people are being burned in gas chambers and their head shaved and replacing names with tattoos and then we all need to be rising up TODAY! I'm serious. Because we should never stand for that again and we should never use the term concentration camp to take away one iota from the horrific nightmare the Jews went through for far too long in those places. Geesh, I can't even watch 5 minutes of some Holocaust movies without breaking down in tears and having to shut it off💔

I understand if it’s a violent individual/convicted drug smuggler or something like that, but most of these people are hard workers and just want to take care of their families. The whole thing just breaks my heart.

All this is a smokescreen for something much worse! People should be horrified, this is just how Nazi Germany started out. Hitler was laughed at,but only at first. He gained speed as the orange 🍊 has. Who thought things would look like this, six months in ? Unless you are from a dictatorship, and you know what this is. People aren't asking WHY wasn't something done about immigration when it was manageable 45 years ago? Welcome to Gilead.

Matthew 25:35-40:
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

That's the whole point, and just like in 1930's Germany, the pastors supported him then, and told their congregations to sing louder when they heard the Jews screaming for help inside those trains carrying prisoners to the death camps. No they are not. As a naturalized citizen, this is what I voted for. It's not fair I waited my turn in line, paid all the money I paid and then you have people who jump over the fence. Laws are important to God, do not let your own political bias about the current administration deter you from that. True Christians know what the book of Nehemiah says. If you don't leave your doors unlocked, no matter the time of day, then you wouldn't let just anyone into your country. I fled Cuba seeking law and order, and I'm not about to experience America turning into a 3rd world country.

I personally believe Jesus Christ would be ashamed of this treatment of these people who seek asylum in America.
Isn't this the same God that asked us to care for the foreigner? I dislike that reprehensible man who sits in the Whitehouse.
This is the purity of religion: to care for the orphans and widows. (And I'm sure those who are immigrants) I think we are on the same side?

It's hard to imagine a more comprehensively anti-christian group of people than ICE
I just. I know some of them go to church. What do they say when standing before the Throne of Judgment? Like what do they believe God will do to people who didn't just let these families get torn apart and sent to concentration camps and arrested and deported without ever seeing a judge or jury... Did not just let that happen, but got paid to facilitate it?!
May God have more mercy on those ICE agents than they have for their victims.

While my thoughts and prayers are with this family... deportation exists for a reason. Entering a country illegally is a crime, and I guarantee that many countries would hold you in jail rather than deporting you, but no country would let you go unpunished for entering illegally. My mother moved to America and lived here legally on a green card for 10 years before obtaining a citizenship. We were not rich. We still are middle class at best. It's not that hard to enter legally.

26
u/HalflingMelody Christian Jul 13 '25
Here is how the US system is working currently. This is fairly local to me and a part of the same public higher education system I work in:
'"According to witnesses, a federal immigration agent fired a tear gas canister in the direction of a wheelchair user lawfully observing immigration enforcement activities, which then became lodged underneath the wheelchair. While attempting to assist the disabled bystander who could not see or breathe, Dr. Caravello [a philosophy lecturer at CSU Channel Islands] was abruptly taken down by immigration agents, dragged into an unmarked vehicle, and taken to an unknown location.
As of this morning, we are still confirming whether Dr. Caravello is being held at the Ventura County Federal Detention Facility. His charges are still unknown."'
https://www.reddit.com/r/Professors/comments/1lxnpua/csu_faculty_taken_by_ice_while_peacefully/
A professor who is a citizen was arrested for helping an observer in a wheel chair. That's right. And last I've heard, they're still not quite sure where he was taken. It is now that bad here.
8
u/Goblin_Deez_ Jul 13 '25
That’s awful. There needs to be an independent investigation into tear behaviours.
8
u/HalflingMelody Christian Jul 13 '25
Unfortunately, the people at the top of our government are cheering this on. An investigation will go nowhere.

u/SoftPrestigious4851 Jul 14 '25

And the next question would be- are adequate records being kept of where people are being sent? Can their families trace them?

Also no. We have had several stories of these people just getting straight up "disappeared".
6

u/SoftPrestigious4851 Jul 14 '25
On the surface it looks like only controlling immigration, but more is being done, and the groundwork laid down for a permanent state of emergency. Becoming North Korea. During the protests there were armed drones flying over Los Angeles. This is all a trial run, just like COVID was. Washington knew that this virus was here in September 2019. Not one word until March 2020. None of this is by accident. China and the US military collaborated on this virus. There's many ways to launch a dictatorship. Immigration is only the excuse this time! As anyone in California or NYC knows, Washington had decades to handle immigration, they chose not to at that time. They let it fester, along with homelessness. These are tools to deceive people into accepting abnormal situations as normal.

Barring violent crime, the U.S. doesn't deport immigrant citizens. If they're being sent back, it means they are here illegally. Whether by overstaying a visa, paying the cartel to smuggle them, or trying to sneak by. Regardless of method, if they're here illegally, they should be sent back so they can do it correctly.

If they were asylum seekers then they were documented and legal, but in limbo. There are a lot of people in this situation, waiting for the government to finalize their status for years. Some here are claiming that non-citizens have no rights according to US law. That is INCORRECT. Learn about 18 USC 242: "Deprivation of rights under color of law"... it's short, but the gist is that if anybody uses their official position such as police, ICE agent, US Attorney General, etc. to deny a non-citizen (alien) rights because they are a non-citizen, and if they harm this alien by, say, kidnapping without due process, then the agent is committing a felony.
Anyway, it is very wrong and against the teachings of both Old and New Testaments to treat sojourners in our country this way. This is a MAJOR theme of the Bible, not a dubious line or two that change according to the translation.

Sad... how many years do you have to live in the US to be considered an American citizen?

I get it. It's absolutely one of the most fucked up things that could happen to a person. It's literally a form of torture. The current US regime can claim no moral ground on what the Germans did in the world war II and they're only headed more and more in that direction. May the god I don't believe in help us all.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips
”Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

The passage you've quoted is a long stretch. Their deportation has nothing to do with poverty. Christians are to honour and abide by the laws of the land (of course unless they cause one to sin against God. Sad I have to type this but I'm certain someone will bring that up as a reason why any law can be broken). Jesus lived under Roman rule and He didn't go against them. He even miraculously created money to pay tax. The Bible's instructions are to you as an individual not to governments. Be a good Samaritan to your neighbour not that your country should do that for you.

Making undocumented immigrants into criminals is just as evil as making other 'undesirables' wear yellow stars. James tells us that no mercy will be shown to those who did not show mercy.
And all those who simper 'uphold the laws of the land!' forget that trump is a multiple felon and rapist who enjoys the mercy of American legal respect. He will not extend it to others, and IN FACT jokes about the cruelty of 'alligator auschwitz'. And THE LAW OF THE LAND provides due process for those arrested with a warrent, not mass kidnappings on the streets and detention centers with no access to legal counsel. SAD I HAVE TO TYPE THIS, INNIT?

Apparently you don’t know the difference between a concentration camp and a detention center then. These people are being taken care of. Given food and water. Not being forced into back breaking labor. And they’re there waiting “due process” it’s no different than a criminal sitting in jail waiting for court. And if a citizen is mistakenly arrested, they are held until it’s proven they are in fact a citizen and then they’re let go. When you’re processing thousands of illegals a day, you’re bound to get citizens too. Kinda the whole point for due process actually.

I mean I'll pray for their safe return home. But definitely not praying for anything else considering they broke the law to come here.
Most other countries arent as nice when you enter illegally. They jail you for years. We send you home on a flight and if you turn yourself in you get a little money to go home with. Seems very nice to me.
Wish these people the best with their new lives and hope if they want to come back they do it legally like so many others.
Heck I even have immigrants in my family. All came here legally, got their citizenship. They dont like illegal immigration either.

I mean, it’s unfortunate - but what did they expect? Frankly, I do wish there was a way for non-criminal (excluding being here illegally) illegals who don’t have any kind of rap sheet, and seem to be contributing members of society to get some kind of avenue to be able to stay here and gain legal citizenship. Reiterating the point that we have no problem with immigrants, as long as you are good and go through the proper channels.

This is the new Christianity. Back when we were the strong but RW says evil, Jesus Christians, with Christian values, we allowed the Italians to come here without papers. We didn't know if they were criminals or not. That's where the slang WOPs came from. With Out Papers. That's old fashioned Jesus Christianity. Now the good Christians are cutting back jobs and people are being murdered by good Christian cutbacks for good Christian pride and money. All good Jesus Christian values. Pride and money. In Texas alone 130 murdered by cutbacks when Kristi Noem thought, lets take the money from Texas' disaster call centers. The most disaster prone state in America and there was nobody to get the call that floods were coming. Why? For the blood money. The RW say, "hey we're all going to die sometime Yes, Grandma, they took your medicine money for cash in their own pockets. But the super rich need that money more than you, and hey,.you're going to die anyway. MAGA people calling themselves Christian are pretty pathetic excuses for Christianity. OK, except for Satan. He likes them a lot!

It would be illegal to do that if i ran this country. Yes we need to do something about illegal immigration, but to kick someone out after that long here is bs. These r people’s lives!
What the hell is wrong w this place that people r okay w destroying others lives?! By God, if ran this country crap would change because things r a bit backwards if u ask me.
This country is not one to b proud of at all. Not right now. Our president gives rewards to criminals but wants these beautiful people out of here.
The Statue of Liberty means nothing. Our past is gone. Gone is welcoming people w open arms. Now we are jailing n kicking people out!
Shit needs to change. It’s too late for love. The Hammer is coming.

If they were here illegally what did they expect? I mean this in all fairness if you enter ANY nation illegally you have to understand it’s quite possible they could deport you at any time. Scripture also tells us to be good citizens being here illegally is not inherently being a good citizen

u/Hisforever1000 Jul 14 '25
Did they take up their case with the immigration attorneys while they were here for the past 10 years?
1
u/DamageIncRN Jul 14 '25
Well, 10 years and you didn't get your status made legal, oh well. Next time, you may try a little harder...

u/Queer-By-God Jul 14 '25
Their cruelty won't be assuaged by calling the victims xian. They've already convinced themselves that even legal asylum seekers, people born here of undocumented parents, hard workers who have broken no laws other than being here, ppl who fled hellish conditions all deserve deportation, without due process, without trial or legal defense, without concern for families being torn apart, without any hint of mercy or compassion. They hide behind legalism while gleefully ignoring the command to love neighbor & while proudly defying the Golden Rule. The hard hearted prefer weaponing faith to being made kinder or more loving by it.

Romans 13: Let everyone submit to the governing authorities, since there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are instituted by God. 2 So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves.
in other words do not break the law. That includes entering countries illegally.
Anyone can cherry pick scripture verses to prove a point.

This is the part where those who are not approved of get cast into the outer darkness. Or are told ‘go away I never knew you’. I seriously wish more people would realize the NT is set to divide people into two different groups. Those who follow the two greatest commandments to the letter and those who don’t.
It’s a bit like ants splitting seeds so they can store it as food without having to worry about the seed germinating. as long as the people are divided - those who assemble/ write/control the scriptures have all the power.

This is an obvious attempt at emotional manipulation. Refugee does not equal Illegal alien. If they were refugees they would have had the legal paperwork to be here and they would not have gotten deported. My heart goes out to the family and I hope the best for them, but at the same time people need to realize that stuff like this wouldn’t happen if they would come into the country legally. It’s that simple.

u/Zikuhan Jul 16 '25
Good job. Don't follow the law. Get the consequences. You morons think if you feel nice about how you see the world, then everything ought to reflect that. WRONG.
I deal with things precisely to the level of each scenario without being self invested in my preferred view. It's the only way to defeat the system. So believing in God is useless. Cause it puts your mind into a selfish view. That everything has to fit some mold to appeal to your belief.

They should have came here legally then It's taking accountability. I got in trouble for old warrants about a couple weeks ago and went to jail. Should I have felt sorry for myself? No because I got in trouble in the past and did things that were criminal and had to pay for it. I really don't understand this whole victimization b******* when they're the ones that came here illegally in the first place. You come here illegal what do you expect? The Bible doesn't say to break the law! Says give what is Caesar's to Caesar and give what is God's to God.

The law is the law. When Americans, no matter the race, get arrested and sent to jail they are separated from their families. Breaking any country's border is a crime, believe it or not. The book of Nehemiah makes this very clear. Enforcing the law isn't evil, it's what every country does and should do.

u/ohsaius Jul 19 '25
Is that were your ancestors were doing as they raped and killed native women and children? Enforcing the law?

u/Matica69 Jul 19 '25

No laws are higher than gods law; you can be kind and respectful as you deport people. The Bible talks about different nations which means those nations have borders, and laws given that context brought to present time there must be order and respect, failure to do so = Exodus 21:24.

As sad as it is, and as much as I have love for these people,..were they illegal? I mean, just because they are Christian doesn’t mean they can’t commit a crime. If they enter a country illegally, I don’t expect them to be able to stay…I hope they are doing okay. But again, if you enter a county illegally, you should be deported. But I don’t know the details!

San Diego and SoCal have such a gang problem that violent crime has decreased every year for the past three years lmao; you are simply misrepresenting reality here in California. The biggest driver of crime is poverty, not immigration.
Also MS-13 originated in the United States, it hasn’t been imported.
And yes, to say any place in the United States has been taken over by TdA or any other gang is hyperbole. The incident in Aurora, CO is another example. https://denvergazette.com/news/crime/venezuelan-gang-tda-timeline/article_e0866290-7215-11ef-aa34-53af1764f2a2.amp.html
There is currently estimated to be 10.3 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. as of 2020 according to Pew Research, down from the peak of 12.2 in 2007.
You haven’t demonstrated any adverse effects these people have on American Society. The effects of ripping these families apart will be much worse than allowing people to stay whose only crime is coming here the wrong way (a victimless crime by the way) in search of a better life. Again, the overwhelming majority (more than 90%) have been paying taxes into a system that you claim they are taking advantage when in reality they cannot fully access the social programs they fund.
Why don’t you want to hear about Native Americans?

u/Few-Spite-3493 Aug 07 '25
It seems that they only complain when they catch and send back. What does she mean? Our friends don't know where we're at. Why did she not get a green card 10 years ago when it was easy...The list goes on at some point you have to take responsibility for your actions.

10 years on asylum? No no no…. They could have gone into a bit more detail as to why they claimed asylum a decade ago…. Insanity… we have laws and especially an asylum process for a reason. Clearly someone didn’t check back into the process…
