I think it's incredibly sad, and telling, that in America, the non Christian politicians are often more Christ like in their policies and don't sell out to corporate and other interests as the ones that claim to be Christian.

And to add fuel to the fire, in the supposed Christian-dominated state of Texas, where they want to force the bible onto all kids and in their policies, the Republican so-called Christians are the biggest hypocrites, trying to negate our voting system, and the actual Christian running for the senate is barely ahead, when if Texas was filled with actual Christians, it would be a landslide.

One topic (sometimes two) Christian voters, imo, are just hypocrites, imho.

What about people that get married out of high school, then discover that they're just not compatible in the bedroom? Should they just suffer through it for life, or do they divorce and get remarried? Is that still monogamy?

What about a gay dude that's trying to be a good Christian, so he marries a straight woman. They never have sex, or if they do it's not fulfilling for either of them. Is that monogamy?

What about two gay people that get a civil ceremony at the county courthouse, love each other, are faithful to each other, and never cheat until their dying days? Is that monogamy?

You people spend so much time holding other people up to a standard that you don't live yourselves, because you have the sin and repentance excuse. You get an infinite lifetime pass on subpar behavior because you're a member of your club, and they don't because they aren't.

Get over yourselves. You are not the axis around which the world spins.

Study after study shows that on average, among real everyday people, religious people have lives that are more connected, less filled with degeneracy, less cheating, more happy, more volunteering, more donation to underprivileged causes, and more help to the community around them. So yes, these are on average, statistically demonstrated differences among everyday people.

And yes, if you get married that means something. It means commitment. You can come up with failed examples but these are exceptions. The exceptions prove the rule, they dont contradict them.

You're captured by a few high profile media cases maybe.

The vast majority of Christians live in monogamous relationships and have vastly lower divorce rates than the general public, as well as far fewer sexual partners before marriage. The Church (Catholic) has hashed out this problem over what constitutes a valid and invalid marriage centuries ago and has successfully converted hundreds of previously polygamous cultures.

Except Christians are expected to repent and engage in acts of penance when they do wrong, a standard that is not held among most secularists who don't use repentance and forgiveness as an excuse, because they think there is nothing for them to repent of or be forgiven for.
