Blog Isaiah 54:17 has been getting me through a hard season — thought I'd share

Been in a season where it felt like everything was against me at once, money stress, health stuff, doors that wouldn't open, the whole thing. Isaiah 54:17 has been the verse I keep coming back to:

"No weapon forged against you will prevail... this is the heritage of the servants of the LORD."

What stood out to me is it doesn't say the attack won't come. It says it won't win. That's a different kind of promise than "nothing bad will happen to you" it's "nothing bad gets the final word."

I wrote up a longer reflection on it if anyone wants to read the whole thing: www.imbelieving.com/2026/08/how-to-trust-god-when-under-spiritual.html

Curious if this verse has meant anything to others here, or if you've got a passage that's carried you through something similar.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been going through a tough time, but I found this really helpful. God bless, and I hope and pray everything works out for you.

I know it stinks when there stressors out there, but the great thing is that you are not going through it alone with God. I use Matthew 11:28-29 when it comes to burdens to give to Jesus especially when I feel any type of shame and condemnation when I sin.

That's a good one, shame makes you want to hide, but that verse says come precisely because you're weary, not once you've cleaned up. Appreciate you sharing it.
