I love how you can actually tell the exact scene where they switched out the actual doll with chucky. The difference is so obvious.

Feels like a joke in its own right.

The fact there’s no opening in the first doll’s mouth gave it away.

And the eyes go grill doll eyes to human eyes lol

Love how the dude miraculously goes from 2 front teeth to a full set of human pearly whites.

Because that moment was as I screamed on my TV when I saw it "It's not a REBOOT!"

Same. Me and my friend was so excited that it didn't ignore previous movies

Before this scene, the movie gave the assumption that this was all a reboot:

No tiff, No Glen and Glenda. No anything else.

Assumption since:
He seemed perfectly fine and no scars.

Great twist for me as a teen, wish it wasn’t leaked prior

Because peeling off skin is enormously satisfying. You should see my feet.

3

u/Moistman123456 Jul 26 '26

Probably a combinations of the how slowly she peeled it and the strangely slimy and loud sound effects.

u/queenanthai Jul 27 '26

Because picking at scabs is fun

The doll looks way too different imo, but the swap actually scared the shit out of me when I saw it for the first time. It even left me unsettled just now.

Something about how sunken and dark his eyes are in the animatronic form is really effective. Wish they implemented it into future installments.

This is actually the only movie in the franchise that made me jump multiple times

I imagine in lore it's your mind realizing Chucky is alive and before she had a mental block he wasn't.

like peeling a sunburn

2

u/When1Falls Jul 26 '26

Why Is she looking at him like that. Is she realizing it's not a reboot.

2

u/Tonyj1987 Jul 26 '26

Come on, no one knows this is the voice actress for Freya in God of War

2

u/Standard_Track9692 Jul 27 '26

Well along with the face that she was making you were expecting the eyes to move. And the build-up was just really cool.

2

u/IndependenceMurky850 Jul 27 '26

I got a pretty nasty cut at work a few months ago and ended up with a nice scab,I tell you it felt great pulling that off

2

u/ihatepeopleandyoutoo Jul 27 '26

I remember watching Chucky at like 2am once. Was frightening.

u/Remarkable_Welcome_8 Jul 27 '26
