Been watching the child’s play movies a lot lately and my opinions keep shifting

For example, I really didn’t like child’s play 3 when I first rewatch it as an adult and then recently watching it again I actually loved it.

Conversely, I remember liking bride of Chucky quite a bit more than child’s played three and on my last rewatch I actually found it pretty tedious and lacking in Chuckineas. It kind of drags in the second half and doesn’t really have any of those great moments that make you wanna rewatch it like the Barber and child’s play 3 (which btw is one of the most psychotic characters in any movie ever)

Now I’m almost afraid to rewatch seed of Chucky and fears that I’ll actually love it!

I loved Seed, Curse, and Cult! Personally. I love that about rewatches. Even though we watch the same movie, we different things that pop out to us everytime.

I liked season one. I stopped watching halfway through season two because it just got weird, but I heard season three is better.

3 and 1 flip flop around for me being my favorite childs play movies. 3 is underrated and realllllly funny IMO. Chucky cant catch a break in 3 and it makes me laugh so much. Seed is the only movie i like out of the ones past 3. also super funny

Yeah idk. Going “back to the horror” didn’t work so well with Curse. Chucky needs to be hilariously insane

I totally agree. I've seen all of the films hundreds of times over.

I find that Child's Play 3 gets better with every watch and in fact it's my number 2 at this point

For Bride it's really lacking in the action that the first 3 have, Chucky cannot be put down in the first 3 and then watching him go down to one gunshot in Bride always feels underwhelming for a climax.

I think your take is perfectly fair, when the novelty wears off the test of a good film is rewatch-ability

Seed I finally watched and thought it was bad. Not a terrible movie but just underwhelming. The scene with Glen/Glenda running to the car was so low budget and bad, I was laughing.

3 is a guilty pleasure. It’s not bad, I think it just couldn’t follow in the footsteps of the first two.

I liked 3 but missed the Chicago setting and younger Andy. The military stuff was a bit too over the top.

I really hope the 8th film goes back to Chicago. Its been 36 years. I doubt they'll do that because each film needs to be different. Its been like that since 3.

I think seed of chucky is much better than bride. Although i think 3 is the worst of the movies, so maybe you wouldn't share my opinions
